Both boys played Football in Topeka on Saturday. Grant at 8:30am (which meant leaving at 6:30am--ugh) and Mitch then played at noon. It was HOT!!!
Scott talking to Grant's team at halftime.
Then on to the KSU stadium on Sunday. The kids get to run down from the tunnel. That is Mitch with the flag........not sure who is carrying who though.
Oh, here we go, he finally got the flag under control. He was quite excited to have that job!
And here is me, selling concessions on Sunday. When we heard it was going to be another scorcher, we decided to be prepared and do it as a fundraiser for the Indians Banner.
Grant absolutely looooves his Grandma's pumpkin bread. Grandma dropped a fresh loaf off the other day. What a great surprise. And, it has all been eaten by Grant so far. Only half of it left. I figure if I post really nice comments and let her know that it's almost gone, another loaf might magically appear some day soon. Actually, what he really has requested next was a pumpkin pie.
Wait, is she trying to get in the picture?
Ok, here she goes, directing traffic.
Now on to the coaches.
The goofy picture. I am saving the best for last, product of Jen Salmans Photography. (after she works her magic) Hopefully she was able to capture a good one. The red head in the middle thought it was great fun to be goofy!!
Wow, she does work wonders. She even left us with a rainbow.
Well, yesterday was the first day of fall, but I did finally get motivated to make it downstairs to dig for the fall decorations. I DO love this time of year. Then, once I start, I can't seem to stop putting stuff out! Mitch wanted ALL the Halloween stuff outside already. His mean mother wouldn't let him get it all out yet. Wouldn't want the neighbors to start talking.
I wasn't quite as motivated at the office.
This is the private jet they flew on out of Wichita,KS.
Pre-game, Kansas State vs. Louisville
Not too many good photos of the game.........go figure. Good thing he took a picture of the scoreboard before there were any scores on it! Actually, the reason he took the picture of the scoreboard was because Mohammad Ali was on it. He was being driven around the stadium in a golf cart. Mohammad is originally from Louisville.
This is a picture of The Cardinal Club House. This is the home course for the Louisville Cardinal's golf team. This view is from the driving range.

Jim, Scot,(yes, only 1 t)Bernie and Rex. Happy Birthday to Rex! (Bernie's Dad)
We headed to the zoo this morning after picking up Grant from his sleepover. The weather was perfect.

This pig grunted every time you rubbed her belly. Grant decided to play it safe and rub through the window. I tried to convince him that by the time that pig was able to even get up, he would be long gone.

Well, in all actuality, I really was never looking for the "ugly doll", but came across it while looking for a sleeping bag for a slumber/birthday party Grant is heading to. And, while I didn't find the sleeping bag, I found the ugly doll that I thought I had thrown away. I wouldn't have given it another thought, but after shopping in Vegas with Mandy, and popping are heads into FAO Schwarz trying to take our minds off of the Coach store, I noticed that they actually do sell these "ugly dolls" and rather pricy for what you are getting. Anyway, we had received an ugly doll as a freebie from one of our sales reps and I had no idea that they sell for $24.99, at least in Vegas anyway, probably not on the internet. And all this time I thought we had been given a piece of junk. Might just be the next Bunko gift!!
