Aunt Christy and I gave in and took Mitch to the fair tonight. Thank goodness his buddies were there so that I didn't have to get on any rides!

My Favorite 9 year old.
Happy Birthday to my favorite red head! I can not believe that he turns 9 years old today. We celebrated with some of his friends at the bowling alley last night.
We started off Saturday morning getting ready for what was to come in the afternoon. We had to rewatch Toy Story 1 and 2.
Then off to lunch at Jimmy John's.
And then ready for Toy Story 3!! It was a really good one as well.
Mitch and I had a great day today. Headed to Target after the movie to spend the Grandparents money they gave him (and really kinda hoping he forgets about the fair.) Doesn't the Atchison fair count? I have paid my dues already as far as that goes.

Coming to an end
The U9 Titans finished up last night with their year end party at Twin Oaks. These kids had a great season taking 2nd place at NBC State held in Manhattan.
They had to get one last baseball game in!

Both boys have attended the Football camp put on by Coach Schartz at MHS. They had a great turnout for the first year as well as a lot of fun.Off to play
This is why my boys love to spend time at the other Munsen's. Out in the country and sooo many things to explore.
Ameila Earhart Days in Atchison
We finished our weekend by spending Saturday and Sunday in Atchison with Scott's family. Headed to the fair. It was HOT!! I didn't look quite so happy after this ride. Just getting too darn old to enjoy these things anymore. That was my one and only ride.
The little ones didn't seem to mind the heat or the spinning around, so here they go again.
Finally got to sit down for the airshow. Pretty darn amazing stuff.
Good food and now just waiting until dark for the "Concert in the Sky." Atchison spends over $60,000 on the firework show. The best you will ever see!

The Royals Game
We headed to KC last Friday to get in a Royals game this year. It was firework Friday, along with $1 hotdogs. We just haven't seen enough baseball games yet this year!!
We got to watch Greinke up close warming up before the game.
We couldn't see the fireworks from our seats, so watched them from outside the stadium.

Camp
After a long weekend in Pratt for State Baseball with Grant, and after a game on Sunday afternoon that went 10 innings in the heat, we were finally able to leave and head to Ottawa (the complete opposite end of the state) for Basketball Camp. I took 3 boys and dropped them off.....late, after playing baseball all weekend. This is Grant's first time at an overnight camp, this one being 5 days and 4 nights. They were excited and nervous at the same time.

Happy 4th!
We spent our 4th of July weekend at the State Baseball Tournament in KC. Here are the boys getting ready to head out to play ball. Grandpa Tom and their cousin Josh came down to watch.
Grant on the mound. They brought him in after the 6th inning when it was a tie ball game. The game went on for 9 innings. They usually only play 6 at this age.
Here I am watching thinking I was going to puke. Scott, on the hand, thrives on those moments and was thrilled to see him come in. Grant must take after his Dad, as he did great and they won that game. Cousin Josh just as nervous as me!!
