MIFC ’07 @ 30/8/2007

Yup, I went to Malaysia International Fireworks Competition @ Putrajaya recently with 2 gangs of friends on different days. It was a few days event where you can get to see musical fireworks performance by different countries each day.

Thanks to Algy’s invitation, I went for the Japan team’s performance with her, Joseph, Jenn & Yukmei… hoping to see Hello Kitty in the air. We depart from HQ bought snacks and mineral water to fill our stomach and boringness during waiting time. but ended up with disappointment though their sakura were bloom glittery in night sky. The Japan team’s performance took about 30mins and it was overall a mesmerizing show as a whole. We then met up with Richard and had our supper at one of the mamak shop in Precinct 10 before head back home. A different way to past the Merdeka Eve… : )

I also went for the grand finale global + pyrofest performance by Canada team with my ex-colleague, liching, my new friend, S and another photographer friend of mine, Stephenking + his gf, cass on 2/9/2007. This time, we managed to found a place and stood right in front of Putrajaya Convention Centre after about an hour of traffic jam under drizzling rain heading into Precinct 2. Though the place may be a little bit too far but we are able to have a full panoramic view of the entire performance. Thanks to Stephenking who picked the good location for both his photo shooting + our viewing pleasure… and thanks to S for droving us patiently in jam… : D

Double Strikes… @ 26/8/2007

Despite than the earlier news from my son, I’ve got another updates on this date. Alv has officially attached with the 3rd party named C or Cyn in detail… Sis Sam & Koh saw them holding hand in hand, “paktoh-ing” sweet and romantically at Sunway Pyramid while they were having their usual shopping time at the same spot where, both Alv & C then quickly let go their holding hands and walk separately once they saw Koh during the accidental met somewhere back in early of August.

What can I say anymore…? Alv did strongly emphasize that our breakup wasn’t because of 3rd party but now… I’m terrible hurt, sad and wordless… Perhaps just like what’ve Nixon told me during the breakup with Alv, it is definitely because of 3rd party and Alv was just giving me a “standard” excuse / reason as the answer to the breakup of our love relationship… :’( Again, I cried the whole nite… :’’(

Dear Alv, Happy Birthday… :’(

My Son in Mongolia… @ 26/8/2007

After a week+ of waiting, I finally received the Child Sponsorship Guidebook from World Vision Malaysia. Yes! I've got updates on my sponsored child… my cute little son from Nalaikh, Mongolia… : D He is 5 years old, studying in Kindergarten and his favorite subject is singing. His health status is just right at the satisfactory level and the usual house chores that he do is to puts away toys after his play. He lives with his married parents where mother is employed as a teacher and father remains unemployed. He also has a brother and a sister which forms a family of 5 members. His name is Erdenetsogt… : )

The booklet doesn’t contain much information about my son other than the above biodata. Instead, it contains more information in educating the sponsor such as how the sponsorship is going to be, how it will help kids from Nalaikh and how should the sponsor communicate / corresponds with their sponsored child. Besides, the child sponsorship also gives a glimpse into the life of the child in need and encourage sponsor to build an enriching friendship with the sponsored child via letters writing / cards sending / small gifts or participating in sponsors visits.

With the given information that my sponsor child will first write me a letter upon receipt of the first sponsorship fee disbursement, I then, shall be expecting my son’s very first letter in a month time… Hehe… : D

Serving Children for A Good Cause… @ 16/8/2007

I’ve made a decision today for a good cause… I volunteered myself for this year 30Hr Famine Camp together with my dear friend, I. Yup! We contributed RM150 each in order to participate in this charitable camp, a camp which you need to pay ( donate ) to get hunger… There are 2 ways to be a volunteer if you wish to take part; thru a minimum contribution from your own pocket / collection of donation via the requested donation card of which me and I opt for self-contribution.

Apart from that, I also adopted a kid thru the child sponsorship programme with sponsorship fee of RM50 per month. Sponsor is given the chance to select the kid from which country they wish to sponsor but not advisable to choose a specific kid with the principle that every child is important and should have an equal opportunity to be sponsored. With that, I’ve chosen to sponsor a Mongolia kid from the given list of countries and I just can’t wait to see how my child will look like after the confirmation of my sponsorship. And this has also added a little mystery + surprise on the good cause. : )

Sally Yeah Live In SP @ 11/8/2007

This year, SP held its mega concert again from north to south. Yes! We have Sally Yeah Live in SP and as usual, every one of us has to on duty for this mega event. This time, I was assigned to duty at the VIP section again… together with my “mama” ( the way my division used to call our lady boss ) and other staff. We reported to duty on time and had all seats well set with the necessary thing such as bottled mineral drink and cheering ornaments like light stick etc.

The concert started on time with welcome introduction given by Emcees, Jack Lim & Mei Yin, an opening performance by a local artist, Quincy Tan followed by the spectacular performance by Sally Yeah. The night, Sally sang numerous of her popular songs including “Ling Shi Sap Fun”, “Xuan Zhe”, “Shun Ji Gei” etc with her spontaneous showmanship + audience interaction which has made this another successful event. As soon as the concert ended, we had our supper buffet together with Sally at our function hall and a group photography session with Sally before we off duty for the day.

Royal London Circus @ 10/8/2007

Thanks to my colleague, Meilee & her sis Meiyee so that me and Algy can tagged along for a free Royal London Circus show at Bandar Bukit Puchong. : ) Hm… The show was not that mesmerizing as compared the one which I saw many many years ago in Ipoh. Despite than some unsuccessful stunt action… circus now days also don’t have big + wild animals such as elephant, tiger, lion, horses etc anymore but only those small animals like little pony, monkeys, dog, cat + birds... : (

Though it was a little bit disappointed but its still a show which kids should go for… at least for kids now days to know what and how a circus look like. Memories brought all of us back to our younger years and no regret that we went for the show although we were late about an hour. We then had our supper at our favorite mamak shop, Kueenz Sidewalk Café, Pusat Bandar Puchong before head back home after the circus ended.
