Munmun's Trail : : 敏子の迹

Thanks to sweetie SH invitation, I had a chance to enjoy a self-barbeque dinner with her gang of friends Kelly + Alex, Jimmy, Schwarz, Andrew and WL at Jimmy’s place in Kota Damansara.

WL picked me up from my place to Jimmy’s house after my sales duty which we only able to reach about 8:30pm due to traffic jam + wrong route taken. Once arrived, we quickly head straight to the kitchen and get all food prepared so that we can starts barbequing due to hunger. We get the fire up, girls gets ready the food, guys barbequed the food and wola… makan time… : )~ It wasn’t a luxury barbeque, but still fulfill our taste butt with just a simple one like those ordinary chic wings, vegetables, sausages etc. With just a RM 10 per person for a worthy barbeque + meeting up new friends + chit-chatting session at own pace was a great idea. So sweetie, when is the next round huh?

Unlike the usual SP’s CNY event with for past few years which is meant to be grand, we chosen to host a charitable yet meaningful event this year associating Michael Wong to sing for the underprivileged and unsung heroes who care for them at Green Canopy ( the commercial business park adjacent to Canopy Club in Setia Eco Park ). Michael Wong, an internationally renowned singer cum songwriter who has successfully weaved numerous lyrics and music into chart topping hits such as “Tong Hua”, “Di Yi Chi”, “Yue Ding” etc.

MW’s sings for unsung heroes concert was initially planned to be an hour+ show with >10 songs to be sung. However, this meaningful event wasn’t able to goes well on plan and was cancelled at the end due to heavy down pour at the venue site. Nevertheless, having see the disappointment of our invited underprivileged from D2D, T-Ratana and Shelter Home, our boss managed to talk to MW of which he has also graciously agreed to do a short live performance at our Sales Gallery’s Piano Bar. He played the grand piano, sang 2 of his popular hits, “Tong Hua” + “Yue Ding” along with kids from the above 3 organizations surrounded by his side and me right in front of him. Hehe... : P Though it was showering cats and dogs + cool outside but it was really warm in the sales gallery.

Mm… it’s the annual CNY staff dinner again. This year, SP held its group’s “hoi gong” dinner at the newly completed office named Setia Corporate Tower located in Setia Eco Park, which is just the walking distance from my new office. Besides than lion + dragon dance to serve as the “hoi gong” ceremony for all Klang Valley staff, the dinner also serve as an official opening ceremony for the new corporate office with firecrackers combustion prior the shifting of Puchong HQ. We enjoyed dinner prepared by an Italian specialty, La Gourmet House surrounding with non-stop entertaining Chinese orchestra and serene environment throughout the dinner night. Hope it’s a good start and a great year to SP in this Year of the Golden Rat!

Today, I received a V’day hand bouquet beyond my expectation and it wasn’t from any of my friends / buddy colleagues whom I initially thought they may want me to have a good V’day despite than those unhappy memories. From who then? Well, to be very honest… I don’t know! And I have no idea who the person is until he sent me a sms. Where he got my mobile number? Obviously, its from a person I know lor… : S

He first text me that he has got relation to my family, which I wonder who the hxxk he is out of shock. After few sms relay, I found that he is 1 of my newly weds bro in-law, Koh’s “heng dai” who is rather ignorance I would say. He even text me some “cool humor” messages off and on as if he has a great sense of humor. Sigh…

It’s the 3rd day of CNY today which I hardly be at KL on this day for many years. For those who know me, I usually go back to Ipoh for CNY… and the reason why I’m back to KL so soon was because of sis Sam’s first “return” on the 2nd day of CNY after her recent marriage.

After she gone back to her PIL side at Seremban, the boring comes. I then look out for program from my fellow course mates which ended up having a CNY dinner gathering at the Balinese themed Bora Ombak Café & Restaurant, Ampang. Foods served were good but none of us seems ordered the Balinese food though it’s a Balinese restaurant where, all of us were getting those Western and local cuisines instead. We enjoyed the food and spent our leisure time scattering on floor + chit-chatting around the dining table under one of its open-air gazebo in dim lighted environment surrounded with lush of greenery. Kind of romantic huh… : P

We then continued the gathering session at Nixon’s house till late night before we call off this CNY gathering. Thanks to Nixon who picked me up to the dinner and Nix + Jo who sent me home at the end of the gathering. ; )

Despite that the earlier seasons greeting card ( X’mas & New Year ) which was sent by my son early month of the year, I received another CNY greeting from WV today.

This is a simple CNY greeting card with 2 kids + a mouse ( to represent the Year of Rat ) as cover and a sponsorship application form within to seek for more sponsorship to our children. In accordance to that, it even with a note “If you are already a World Vision Child Sponsor, please give this to a friend…” printed on card, a cost saving yet practical + message reachable way to spread love and care.

Ever since I moved into the new office in Setia Eco Park project site, I noticed that my skin has turned worst… My face turns dry, itchy, popped up lots of rashes + pimple and redness which I think it was caused by the dusty environment in construction site… :’( At the same time, I also doubt that I have used / mixed wrong facial products and the most scary of all, change of hormone… : (

Today, Setia Eco Park organized its first resident poolside barbeque dinner at the newly completed exclusive residents club, named Canopy Club. The main objective of this dinner is to gather residents’ feedback on our >600 handed over properties as well as a preview of the “virgin” Canopy Club.

As usual, staff ought to either assists in the event / mingle around among residents for their feedback. Thus, for person like me who doesn’t have good a communication + personal relation skill can only assists in overall coordination and help out in the event. Of course, we also gotto enjoy the dinner other than work alone lor... : P
