Recently, I experienced work diversification… a total diversify of work portfolio! I don’t know this is good or bad but I know this is the change that is going to affect me current life practice. I have no idea how all these came across as it was a sudden change that I’m being nominated to relocate with a different work portfolio after the sudden left of our club manager and the most important is I have also no idea why I sort of agreed to the offer the same day without asking for time to consider. =.=” Well… some of you might think that I could have been promoted with added wages or what, but the fact is I’m just being the so call acting club manager filling the empty operation slot like how the Chinese proverb says “a country cannot live without king”. Yes… of course management did mentioned that there will be an employment review later but bare in mind, this is an “if and only if then but” case. What I’m going to do next? I do whatever I can do with my best lor… =.=

I celebrated V’day with my girl friends, Chengni + Liching + Chloe + Mandy this year spending the night together… Initially, we planned to attend a singles only party but we gave up the party after we managed to found the venue with the help of GPRS because we were worries having seen the quite hidden + dark surrounding. We then ended up with a dinner at Secret Recipe SS2 and drink at Coffee Beans Solaris Mon’t Kiara. Though we’ve given up the seems-to-be-fun singles only party but we were happy and enjoyed our V’day together with girls talk throughout the night. : )

Today, I received an expected early V’day gift that delivered through sis Sam from a regular friend of mine, KX. Erm… This was an expected V’day gift because KX sent me an early sms and notified me about this hand delivered gift during CNY period. Well~ What’s more can I say… Thanks to this unknown friend of mine who stills remember about me during this special day.

I partnered my colleague, Cheng to be the Emcees of “Setia Alam 88 Double Prosperity” CNY celebration a day after Setia Eco Park’s CNY celebration event. It was a simple Setia Alam residents’ event with its 2 major hamper and mandarin oranges guessing competition and its wowing 8 feet’s tall CNY hamper as the grand prize of Guess the Mandarin Oranges competition. Erm… Thanks to Cheng that I’ve learnt some irregular experience which I couldn’t manage to gain from my ordinary work for being the official Emcees of an event and stood behind a rostrum for the very 1st time besides than some slight nervous. Hehe… : D

Setia Eco Park celebrated its CNY with an event themed “18 Ways To Sweeten Your Chinese New Year” with residents, invited guests, Setia Alam residents and public on this date. Just as how it was themed, there were a total of 18 types Chinese desserts ( Tong Shui 糖水 ) and dessert ( Tim Bun 甜品 ) that symbolized 18 different wishes respectively.

How all the Tong Shui tasted? Err… I don’t have time to give any of those a try simply because I was on duty with heavy task. However, staff were then be treated with a bowl of Double-Boiled Hashima With Red Dates ( Shuet Kap Hung Lin 雪蛤红莲 ) at the end of tiring day besides than bottles of Herbal Tea ( Leung Shui 凉水 ) treated by our GM throughout the day after having seen us working hard towards this successful event under the usual CNY hot weather. The event was overall a success with everyone’s effort, hope this effort could bring us to a better year of Ox!

Gathering With Primary Schoolmates @ 28/1/2009 ( 3rd Day CNY )
Had a CNY gathering with my primary schoolmates, Meilin + Derek + Kyley & Frendy + Chuencheck at Mabel’s house on the 3rd day of CNY. We had our great time gathered around, updates, gambling and the not forgotten ang pau receiving session from both married Mabel and Derek. Pai seh-nya… =.= Later then, Meilin + Cheuncheck + Mabel + me went to all the way down to Rokuzen KL for continue chat and had our Japanese dinner before we called off the gathering.

Daorae Korean BBQ At NZX @ 29/1/2009 ( 4th Day CNY )
I went to NZX to pick up baby Oscar from his godparent at Fluff and had my dinner at Doarae Korean BBQ on 4th day of CNY with both Elvin & Frances in view that Elvin promised Frances a sumptuous Korean meal treat as Frances’s birthday gift instead of mobile phone. Thanks to Frances that I’m able to tag along for a free dinner treated by Elv. Happy birthday to you, Fran… : )

All's Well, Ends Well 2009 家有囍事 2009 @ 30/1/2009 ( 5th Day CNY )
Watched All’s Well, Ends Will 2009 [ 家有囍事 2009 ] with sis Winnie + sis Sam & bro in-law Koh on 5th Day of CNY at MBO Cineplex, Galaxy Ampang. It was really many years ago since our last caught of CNY movies and we were glad that we able to make it for this year.

The movie was OK compared to previous ‘All’s Well, Ends Well’ series namely All's Well, Ends Well [ 家有囍事 ] Y1992, All's Well, Ends Well Too [ 花田囍事 ] Y1993 & All's Well, Ends Well 1997 [ 97家有囍事 ] because of the FILO ( First In Last Out ) effect / first is the best + most not forgettable, perhaps. Nevertheless, it does create laughter for all throughout its 1hr 36mins running time despite than the less prosperous CNY due to economy uncertainty.

Shabu-Shabu With Oversea Ex-Colleagues @ 31/1/2009 ( 6th Day CNY )
I had a gathering with my ex-colleague Lee who came back all the way from Dubai for CNY celebration on the 6th Day of CNY at Mizi Shabu-Shabu, Bandar Puteri Puchong. Also attended the gathering were Richard back from EcoLake, Vietnam + Algy and Cheng. Five of us enjoyed our precious time gathered around, talked about our latest updates and part of our future plan. We then continue our chat at Pappa Rich Kopitiam, Bandar Puteri Puchong later with another ex-colleague Stephen joint in the gathering. : )

Lou Sang With SH & Gang @ 1/2/2009 ( 7th Day CNY )
Attended to a lou sang dinner with SH & gang on the 7th Day of CNY a.k.a “Yan Yat” ( 初七人日 everyone’s birthday ) at Pantai Seafood Restaurant 水上人家, Kg Kayu Ara for a higher and better prospect Ox Year! It has been a year ago since I first met this bunch of my friends Alex & Kelly + Jimmy except WL & SH back in Y2007 + new friends Desmond & Connie + Sumi & her son. We enjoyed our dinner, snap photos and time chit chat around the table. It was indeed a great “birthday” celebration with friends gathered all together on this traditional “Yan Yat 人日”. Thank and happy birthday everyone… : )

Erm… besides than the above… I’ve also had a lunch gathering with my ex-boss AL at Oversea Restaurant Sri Petaling on the 5th Day of CNY ( 30/1/2009 ), a gathering with my colleagues on the 9th Day of CNY ( 3/2/2009 ) at ex-colleague Sam’s house, a sing k outing with my ex-colleague Liching + Chengni + Eamy & gang on the 12th Day of CNY ( 6/2/2009 ) at Neway Puchong and another dinner gathering with my course mates at Janbo Restaurant Cheras as the last CNY celebration on 15th Day of CNY ( 9/2/2009 ). Phew~ What a pack CNY that I ever had duh… Hehehe... ^_^
