1st Professional Haircut

I have been cutting Junior's hair on my own for a while now. He does not have much hair to begin with, but it helps it look nice when I trim above his ears and shorten the length all over every so often. We also did not want to be laughed at for bringing in a kid for a haircut that did not have any to cut.

So last Thursday we finally decided Junior needed more than a "one-length" haircut. He needed some STYLE! We were ready for the worst when we got there but hoping for the best. We had no idea how he would react to someone messing with him that he didn't know. We luckily were the only ones there when we arrived and I thought to myself, well at least we won't disturb anyone if he throws a fit! The nice lady that was going to be cutting Junior's hair put on a video for him to watch and Daddy put Junior in the big yellow car. I was ready at this point for Junior to start wailing, but he didn't! He simply grabbed hold of the steering wheel, made his car noises and started driving!

Then came the blue cape and the lady was off cutting his hair. She asked Daddy (since he was in charge of the style) if a #4 would do on the sides. All I kept thinking was a #4? I have been using a #8 at home, he doesn't have enough hair for this, he's going to be bald!!! But Daddy assured me that it would look fine and he would still have hair left!

Then Junior immersed himself in the video of Jay Jay the Jet Plane. All the while being very still!

I was actually starting to like the spiky look just like his Unckie J.

And then as my pregnancy hormones started to take over, with tears in my eyes, my little man was done with his first big boy haircut! He was calm the whole time, stayed still and let the lady cut his hair!

So then the lady proceeded to take off the cape and brush him off. (He was still holding on to the steering wheel.) We asked Junior if he was ready to go which he replied with a Nooooooo! Daddy picked him up out of the car and Junior started wailing! Now that was the reaction I was expecting when we walked in, not as we were leaving! Poor guy loved it!

Here he is with Daddy reaping the rewards of a job well done (a lollipop)!

Our 4th of July weekend (better late than never)

Proud to be an American

That Saturday we went to a small water park that was just right for Junior. He loved the slide that he was tall enough to go on so much that he insisted that he go on the one that Daddy went on. Unfortunately to go on that one he needed to be at least 45 inches tall and he did not like that requirement. So instead we made it fun by waving to Daddy and watching him come out the end of his slide. As soon as he's tall enough I know he will be going down it! (I did not bring the camera to this outing!)

On Sunday we went to the Aquarium downtown. We had no idea Junior would be so excited to see all the different exhibits. Of course of all the marine life there his favorite was to watch a rabbit run around. Click on the picture below to see all the aquarium pictures!

And one more makes TWO!!!

I am finally getting around to posting a picture our newest blessing, planned to make an appearance sometime around December 17th!!!

Pictured here at 12 weeks. I am currently now 16 weeks along. And no, we do not know if it's a boy or a girl yet. That will be determined in about another month.

I was able to feel Junior right at 16 weeks and both Daddy and I were able to feel #2 last night for the first time!

Here and there

If you ever wondered what 75 feet of aluminum foil looked like all rolled out...
(And it goes further around the corner.)

Showing Daddy he could fit in his suitcase and take him along on Daddy's next business trip.

Double A minor league baseball game

Once again...my little cheeseball

And again!!!

Finally ready to use our pool for the summer once we had an enclosed backyard again. Daddy blew the pool up the night before and left it at the back door. I asked Junior if he was ready to go swimming and I went to his room for his swim diaper and swim trunks and returned to find him "ready to swim"!!!
