WOW

Just reading my old posts I can't help but laugh. Particularly about the mini band camp stuff. Marching Band proved to be one of the hardest things I've ever done in my life. Compared to this school year, mini camp was a breeze! But through all of it, I learned how to play flute really well, work hard, and I made some incredible friends! I can't wait for the next marching season! It's funny because actually, in a couple of weeks I will be going to my second mini camp. Bring on the freshman!
Oh! and D.C. was great! We got 2nd place can you believe it! I was one of the best experiences ever!
I think this year we will be pushed even harder and our music is very challenging (BUT AWESOME) I'm so excited because I know that this year, I will do so much better not only with marching but also playing!
Have a good summer everyone!

New Laptop

I just got my new laptop and I am loving it. I will be taking it on my trip to Utah, Idaho, and Washington and I am so excited about it! Still though the laptop can't take away the anxiousness and the nervousness. It's going to be a super long drive (23 hours can you believe it?) and we have to cross the hoover dam (I'm afraid of heights) and last time we made this journey our car broke down in the middle of nowhere. Oh! and I'm going to go to a girls camp in Washington where I won't know anyone except a girl who I knew as a baby. So you could say that it going to be a very interesting journey. Luckily going to see friends and family makes it worth it.

These are my friends Payton...

and pyper...

my great friends and our first stop on our trip. after that we're going to my mother's friends house Diana and she has a daughter my age who I'm friends with. Then we're going to my friends Ramona's house.

and then we are going to my friend Chloe Spencer whom I'm going to camp with.

Lastly we're going to my grandparents house in Washington.

Its going to be really fun! I have lots of catching up to do!

BBQ

Yesterday was memorial day and we went over to our good friends house, the Nelsons and had a barbeque. Our other friends the Wirths and the Stephens were also there. We swam, discussed summer plans, and ate delicious food. There was chicken, potatoes, chips, frog eye salad, corn, soda, watermelon, and beans. Mmmm! Yum. Well Iknow that isn't much information but now I have to go clean. yay.

This Week's Events

Lately I have been going to something called "mini band camp" which is to help to Freshman and other High-schoolers get ready for marching band in the fall. Basically they teach you how to march and how to do the show and I've found out the hard way that it is a miserable program. Not that it matters because of course its mandatory to go to if you want to be in marching band next year. Luckily it only lasts three days and today was the last day. It's from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and not only is there only one five-minute break but they work you SUPER hard. It makes me wonder if they always make you work this hard at mini band camp because it isn't every year that the Millennium Band has the opportunity to go to D.C. Maybe our band director is just trying to make us the best of the best this particular year. Anyways, I almost considered quitting band but I love band so much that THAT didn't seem like a reasonable option.I'm glad I endured the last three hours of mini band camp tonight because now I can enjoy the rest of my summer. Of course though in the middle of July the REAL band camp is starting up and it lasts the WHOLE week. If mini band camp is only a fraction of what the real camp is I don't want to know what the camp in July's going to be like. Oh well... Well, I guess that's all for now but I'll let you know when something else happens. Have an awesome summer!

Happy Summer!

I just ended school last Thursday and already I know its going to be a busy summer! I really want to do a summer blog so I suppose I'll start with telling you about my first day of summer. On Friday after a lazy start Spencer, my mother, and I went swimming in our pool. (It was still cold! Can you believe it?) After that I went over to my friend Brittany's house for a sleepover and that night we had to go sell car wash tickets for the next morning. We even went to different stores to ask the cashiers if they wanted a ticket which was not my idea. Saturday, you guessed it! We woke up at 6:45 and headed off to go scrub cars. We did this to earn money for my future High School band so that we could go to Washington D.C. and play on the white house lawn. The car wash was so LONG! it was from 7:30 to 12:00 and we were washing cars practically non-stop. The rest of the day I think all I did was relax because I was so tired from washing cars. THEN on Sunday my mother and I went to a temple dedication and it was really boring. Still I liked the singing part at the end.
This is a picture of my temple recommend and handkercheif.

After that long time at church we then went to our friend Pearls house and we got to hold her great-grandaughter, Maddie. She was so precious! So today? Today we went to my eye doctor and picked out some new glasses which are much nicer then the ones I have now. Then we came home and made some pizza as well as an orange shake for lunch. We had planned on going to the library but instead I stayed home and threw away / organized my school work. So far I've been pretty busy and I plan on keeping up this blog so make sure to check in often for my latest doings.

Long time no write

Wow has it really been that long since I last wrote? Well its two months before school ends and I felt the urge to write. And has school really been as bad as I had expected? YES. If you seriously don't live as long when you stress so much I think I just lost 10 years. Oh well. Don't worry I just have had tons of papers and huge projects. Infact, I just finished a 5 page report on Teddy Roosevelt. Either way Schools almost over and I'm taking two days off . Why? Well, my dad's good friend's family is staying over and we're hoping to have some fun on thursday and Friday. Anyways I must go eat my Pizza before I die from my not eating it even though the smell is drifting through the air. So I'll probably write again in another 7 months.
