Have fun!!

So this last weekend I had to do a little dancey thing with my little sister at BYU. She and I choreographed a dance together and they asked us to come and perform and we said yes. It turned out to be quite an entertaining night. Aleksa and I had to show up 45 minutes early to "warm up" and I knew that I would be probably older than the others that were dancing since it was a children's danceworks concert...but I figured that maybe there would be some older girls. I was wrong! I was the oldest person in the room. Even there dance teacher doing the warm up was younger that me! It was great. Corey was coming to the performance late just to see us dance so that he could bring Kaleb and just slip out after we were done. What a relief when my phone rang and Corey said he was there. He and Kaleb came to say hello (getting me out of making funny shapes with the young uns in the waiting-to-perform area)...so this is Kaleb and I right before the dancey thing. (Yes I am wearing a leotard for about the first time in five years, and no I don't recommend it!) Kaleb was looking super stylish in his hat that he will never keep on for longer that 10 seconds...so that means that this picture is priceless. You can't really tell by the picture but apparently Kaleb had his first bloody nose right before they came. He pulled his basketball hoop down on top of himself and it konked his nose. Corey said that Kaleb was pretty fascinated by the red stuff coming out of his nose. Glad I wasn't there to have to clean it up.

This has been one h*&! of a week! I feel so busy and I am majorly stressed. So I am posting 4 things that are actually good this week! Why four, you ask???...........that is all I could think of!

Next week will be better. I know this because it can't possible be worse than the week I have been having.

p.s. NOTE to Greg the decorations guy...if you make an appointment with someone and expect them to drive 40 miles in blizzard-like conditions to be there, you may want to show up yourself...jerk!

Wow...this is quite a list. I stole this idea from my friend Vanessa so check out her blog to read her 100 things. This list took me days to compile...it is harder than you think to write 100 things that are semi interesting about yourself...try it, you'll see!

1. I love being a mom.
2. I still feel like I am 18 years old.
3. I wish that I had a tattoo.
4. I would love to cut my hair really short but don’t have the guts.
5. I am secretly jealous of all of friends that have gotten boob jobs but am too chicken to do it myself.
6. My favorite color is purple and then blue
7. My birthday is the day after Christmas.
8. I am the Co-director of the Miss Springville/Mapleton Pageant
9. My son likes my husband WAY more that he likes me, and that’s okay!
10. I wish I could tan easily (never gonna happen!)
11. I have mini anxiety attacks when my house is messy.
12. I love to organize things.
13. Being a mother is the most challenging, REWARDING thing I have ever done.
14. On laundry day I go up and down TWO flights of steep stairs 18 times (I counted this week)
15. Aside from the stairs on laundry day, I never work out.
16. My greatest fear is that my husband will die young and I will have to make it as a single mother.
17. I loved being pregnant but am scared to do it again.
18. I love Days of Our Lives and Passions…don’t tell anyone!
19. I love cooking in the crock pot.
20. I am taking independent study classes right now to get my Bachelor’s Degree.
21. I wish I had perfect skin…zits make me cranky!
22. I like to eat deep fried foods (which probably explains the zits).
23. I love the way that Kaleb talks. It makes me laugh.
24. How I met my husband? We were set up on a blind date by my best friend and his mission companion.
25. I am so sick of watching the Wiggles!
26. Daisies are my favorite flower. A big bouquet of gerber daisies of all colors would make me very happy (would someone mind passing that on to my husband.)
27. After having a baby, my hair went from being strawberry blonde to being very dark red, weird.
28. I love going out to dinner and playing games with other couples.
29. I love talking on the phone to my sister Malissa and would call her every day if I weren’t afraid of her getting totally sick of me.
30. I am the eighth of nine children.
31. I love the Summer time!
32. I have decided that I want two more kids…another boy and then a girl and then I am done! (Hopefully it works out just like that!)
33. I love traveling with my husband.
34. Once I start cleaning my house, I can’t stop until it is all done.
35. I love watching any kind of movie.
36. I love the smell of dirt after it rains.
37. I hate ice cream, it makes me cough.
38. I love eating Fritos corn chips with cheese slices.
39. I have light brown eyes…sometimes they look yellow.
40. On Mondays I stay in my pajamas until 4:30 pm, when the laundry is done. (So don’t come over on Mondays!)
41. I have 15 ½ nieces and nephews and they are all cuter than anyone else’s nieces and nephews.
42. I dread the day that Kaleb stops taking a nap.
43. With a little coercion from my husband, I love BYU Football and watching football games on TV.
44. My secret fantasy is that someday someone is going to come and tell me that I am actually a princess and take me away to live in a castle somewhere.
45. I love dressing up and going out to a nice restaurant with my hubby.
46. I wish that I were super hip/stylish.
47. I know all of the songs AND dances on the Wiggles show! (it’s pathetic I know)
48. I LIKE to think that I am my mother’s favorite child and that Kaleb is her favorite grandchild!
49. I love getting a babysitter and going out for a nice, quiet dinner with just my husband.
50. I think Grey’s Anatomy is the best show on TV.
51. I was never sick during my pregnancy with Kaleb, just extremely hungry! (Which explains why I gained 40 pounds during pregnancy. Anybody who only gained 25 didn’t eat enough!)
52. I wish that I could play the piano.
53. I broke my collar bone and bit my tongue in half all when I was two years old. It’s okay, they sewed it backed together.
54. My husband is my best friend, we talk about everything. Even when I hate him I still love him.
55. I was a cheerleader for two years in high school.
56. I have been stung by a bee twice in my life, once on the back of my left leg and the other on the back of my right leg.
57. My name, Erin, means Ireland.
58. My favorite movie of all time is Pride and Prejudice, any version of it will do.
59. I hope someday that Corey and I will be able to afford to build our own house, with all of the things that we want in it.
60. I got married when I was 19…which is too young to get married. But I wouldn’t change it.
61. I love making lists: to do lists, grocery lists, listing goals, shopping lists, 100 things lists, etc.
62. I read People Magazine and do the crossword puzzle that is in it every week.
63. Corey and I play rock, paper, scissors to make a lot of the decisions at our house, best 2 out of 3.
64. If Corey would let me, I would throw away half of the junk in our house. The reason that he won’t let me is because he doesn’t think it is junk.
65. I think I would die without monthly dinners with my girlfriends. So a big thank you to: Alisha, Vanessa, Sara, Savannah and I wish Alyssa were here too!
66. I am obsessed with Sevens for All Mankind Jeans…they are worth every penny!
67. I hate doing my hair after I shower. It takes too long. So, I only wash my hair every other day and sometimes every third day!
68. When all of my kids are in school, I want to go back to work.
69. My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving.
70. I wish that I was still taking dance classes.
71. I love painting the walls in my house and I ABSOLUTELY hate wallpaper!
72. I worked at a title company for two years and learned more useful information there than I ever could have learned in college.
73. My favorite pets growing up were our two Jack Russell Terriors, Jackie and Rusty.
74. I trip and fall down the stairs in my house at least once a week.
75. I weighed 10 pounds 7 ounces when I was born…Ouch!
76. I was a dance major in college before I decided to drop out and get a job.
77. I can never get out of Costco without spending at least a hundred dollars.
78. I hate fruit flavored chocolate.
79. If I could only eat one food for the rest of my life, it would be my dad’s mashed potatoes with extra butter! Butter makes everything better!
80. I wish that I was funny and that I could make people laugh all the time like my friend Nancy does.
81. I think that I am a pretty good little cook/baker/crock potter.
82. I have a major problem with road rage and I hate bad drivers.
83. When I was born, one of the nurses thought I was a boy and said that I would be a good football player someday. This is probably due to the fact that I was bald and ginormous.
84. My husband and I don’t buy each other presents for Valentine’s Day, our anniversary, Mother’s day, Father’s Day, etc (we only do birthdays and Christmas). We just say I love you and go out to dinner alone and that is better than a present!!
85. I hate sitting around and doing nothing. Being lazy is just not fun.
86. I love hearing funny jokes!
87. My favorite thing about my husband is his laugh…not his fake laugh but his real laugh, the one that is a high pitched giggle!
88. If I could have a super power I would want to be able to fly.
89. I secretly love watching I Love New York on VH1.
90. I never win games or bets when I play against my husband.
91. I want to be done having kids by the time I am 30.
92. I hate people that call me and offer to give me a lower rate on my home mortgage and want to know if I am interested in refinancing. Seriously!
93. I love getting emails from people!
94. I always hang my coat up in the closet after I wear it.
95. If food has a weird texture or weird smell, I won’t eat it: yogurt, pudding, pickles, olives, tomatoes, seafood, all of these things are icky!
96. I have a hard time swallowing pills. Usually I choke on them and can not get them to go down my throat.
97. I love going to the beach but hate having sand stick to my body.
98. I like trying to find spoilers on the internet about the TV shows that I watch.
99. I love to cross days off the calendar that have passed.
100. I really love being part of a crazy, fun, smart, opinionated, loud, hungry family.
