Eggs

Kaleb and Daddy made some eggs this last weekend...Kaleb actually did pretty good. He stirred it by himself (for a while and then daddy took over)and didn't even flick the eggs all over the kitchen. I was impressed!

It has been two and a half weeks since my last post...what a long time. I was super busy...and now my life is back to normal. I had to deal with all of the practices for the Miss Springville/Mapleton Pageant (which I am in charge of) and that kept me very busy/crazy. But aside from that it has been an fun couple of weeks:

Kaleb's "hives", which I think I decided that it was an allergic reaction to amoxicillin, are finally gone. Now his skin is just peeling. I have never seen a rash like that...I really looked like a sunburn, he had little blisters on it and everything. When I took him to the doctor no one wanted to ride on the elevator with us cause Kaleb looked like a leper.

Glad that he is getting back to normal!

My little sister also stayed at our house this last weekend as my parents are off galavanting in Spain for a couple weeks. Corey bought Dance, Dance Revolution for us to play...if you have never played this game it is awesome (although you do look pretty ridiculous doing the dance steps). We stayed up until 1 am playing this game last friday...I was sore on Saturday! You should see my hubby's dance groove, it's pretty great!

On Saturday Corey came home with a new toy for us. Now there is mommy's car, daddy's car and Kaleb's car.

Of course we had to go and get Haley and take her for a ride!

It was a good week! Now I can get back to normal life and start posting as usual again!! Happy April

Hives

So, I am getting Kaleb ready for his bath this morning and when I take off his shirt I notice that his torso is covered in HIVES! I have no idea how he got them...could be from the dirt he was tossing down his shirt last night, or the towel at grandma Shelley's house that we used after we bathed him there, or even the soap in the bath.

Hopefully you can see all the little red dots in this picture:

The lucky part is that it doesn't seem to be itching him at all. He hasn't even noticed the red dots that are covering his body.

After I took his clothes off and noticed the hives, my coversation with Kaleb went like this:

Mommy: Oh goodness what is this stuff on you?
Kaleb: it's a penis and a button mom.

He said it like, duh mom, can't you see what that stuff is.

Don't try this at home!

So this morning, Kaleb wakes up and decides to be cranky. He is sitting in our bed after Corey got him out of his own bed, and he is screaming. Corey and I try to calm him down, doesn't work; we try turning on the TV, doesn't work; Corey tries to pick him up and cuddle him....definately doesn't work!! Because right when Corey picks him up, Kaleb decides to kicks his legs out and arch his back, which launches his rock solid head right into my fragile nose. At this point screaming ensues, I sit up and immediately am covered in blood, running to the bathroom, crying from the pain, gushing like a guyser...

I was ticked, really ticked. Now, after the doctor visit to confirm that my nose is not broken, just swollen and a lovely purplish color, I am feeling a little less angry.

What have I learned from this experience????
1. When your nose is aching after being pounded, don't try to wear sunglasses in the car...it hurts.
2. When cranky two years old wake up and are placed next to you in bed, roll over so that your back is facing them. DON'T LEAVE YOUR NOSE EXPOSED!

And Finally,
3. I have learned that getting slammed in the nose is possibly the most painful thing to experience. It could even be worse than childbirth (not that I would know, I was numb for childbirth). I don't recommend trying it.

Talkin' on da phone!

Every time the phone rings no matter where we are Kaleb says, "zez it phone, mom"...meaning get the phone mom! At the bank today, he hears a phone ring and he looks at the teller and says, "zez it phone". He keeps saying it until the phone stops ringing. It is embarrassingly cute. He carries one of the house phones with him and tries to answer it when it rings, he is usually too slow to get to it before I do...he doesn't have the buttons down yet. But he pretends to talk on it all the time. He holds it to his ears and says, "yeah, yeah, otay, yuv oo, bye". He is a funny little man!

Baby Addie

My sister's and I headed out to dinner tonight for Rebekah's birthday. Beka is my sister-in-law...wishing her a happy birthday on April 4!!! Here is the lovely Rebekah holding little baby Addison, who is just over three weeks old!

Kaleb played at John and Beka's house with her kids (under the supervision of Super Grandpa...thanks Dad!) while the girls were at dinner. When we got back to the house, we walked in and Kaleb comes running up and says, "Oh, hi beebee Addie!" He was more excited to see her than me. Baby was sleeping...so Kaleb proceeded to wake her up and then he wanted to hold her. How cute is he!!! He will be a good big brother someday...maybe!

Look how old he looks sitting next to her!!! I hate that my baby isn't a baby anymore.
