Thomas the Train
On Friday we journeyed up to the Heber Valley Railroad to take a ride on Thomas the Train...which Kaleb is obsessed with! We had such a good time up there letting Kaleb just run loose, he was so excited. We had to wait about an hour before it was our time to get on the train and go for a ride and that whole hour Kaleb kept saying, "I needy ride on dat beeg one Thomas, mom." It was so funny.

Hawaii Pictures
Here are just a few of our pictures from Hawaii. We had such a good time but were so happy to get home to our little boy!
This is me with a crazy dude at the Polynesian Cultural Center...on the tour bus on the way to PCC the guide says, "I hope no one needs a caffeine fix cause this place is run by Mormons and they don't even serve caffeinated beverages." Corey and I just laughed while the rest of the bus moaned about it!

This is Corey while we were on the zip line...you can't tell but he is just hanging there 60 feet above ground.

This is me crossing one of the crazy bridges we had to cross. It was much harder to cross than it looks in the picture.

Hawaii has the best flowers...we took probably a hundred pictures of just flowers.

Corey walking through a lava tube, it was way cool!

Us standing on the lava that flowed out into the ocean in 2003.

Me standing on the deck of our windy cruise ship with Honolulu in the background.

Corey and the steam vents on the volcano on Big Island...there really is steam coming out of the mountain since this is an active volcano.

Corey and I kayaked up this river and then hiked to a waterfall...it was awesome!

All in all we had a great trip. It was good to get away for a few days and then to come home at least a little bit refreshed!

Good Books
So while I am waiting for all of my Hawaii pictures to download, I thought I would post about a couple good books I read while on the cruise!
First a little background on these books...I teach the Mia Maids in church and one day they were all talking about this book that everyone is reading called Twilight...I like to read so I asked what it is about. The answer they gave me...Vampires! (this is the point where i chuckled a little to myself and then stopped listening to their conversation about how hot they thought this vampire in the book was!) So I walked over to talk to some of the other adults and it just happened that they were talking about the same thing, vampires. A mother in my ward wanted to read the book that all of her children were raving about and she loved it, even she thought this vampire had to be hot if he were real.

So while waiting in the airport to board our plane to Hawaii I thought I would try and find a book to read and remembered the title Twilight. I found and purchased the book on Saturday...on Monday, after having read the entire 600 page book, I was telling Corey about how hot this vampire was and how I sort of wanted to be a vampire. He thought I was crazy but went along with me while we searched through two book stores in Maui to find book #2, New Moon. Luckily we found it. On Wednesday and another 500 pages later, I was done with New Moon.

So, if you are looking for a good book, easy to read, about vampires...this one is your winner. Give it a try, you may find yourself wanting to be a vampire as well!!

Get Ready to be JealouS!

This is a picture of the boat I will be boarding on Saturday to cruise around the Hawai'ian Islands. No need to be jealous though....I will take pictures to share so that everyone can get a feeling of how awesome the trip was.
Corey and I are headed for Oahu on Saturday and then we spend a week going from island to island. And we are going alone!! We have been trying to decide what we should do on each island and we are having a hard time realizing that we get to do whatever WE want! We don't have to figure Kaleb into it...it is kind of weird and just a little sad that he isn't coming with us. One full week of Corey and Erin time, I can't wait!!
Hawaii here we come!

Life without NAPS!
We are in an inbetween napping stage. I have discovered that if Kaleb doesn't take a nap during the day that we happily goes to bed at 8:00 pm. But if he does get a nap he doesn't get to bed until 10 pm or so....which is too late!!! So I have decided that he doesn't get to take naps anymore. The first few days of life without naps went well. We played all day and he went to be at 8 like a good boy. These past three days have been a little harder. Maybe it is the fact that I am not entertaining enough for him. On Monday I turned on a movie for him and ten minutes later found him like this:
MONDAY

Tuesday was about the same. I was doing some cleaning and took my eyes off of him for just a few minutes and this was the result:
TUESDAY

And today, nothing new. We have two computers right next to one another and I'm using one to check my email and such and the other is playing Barney's music...his favorite thing. I look over at him and he is dancing to the music. I swear I looked over maybe 45 seconds later and...
WEDNESDAY

In order to keep him awake I have to have something incredible for us to do every second of the day...and nothing that involves riding in the car. That always puts him to sleep. It looks like I am just going to have to live with him staying up until 10 pm! As a side note, isn't he cute when he falls asleep like that!
