Not the most exciting news, but necessary just the same. We will go get fingerprinted on Oct 25th at CIS. We will be taking K and K mainly because I want to show them what we did for them and a little about how our homeland security works. . . I love how my kids are becoming so much more globally aware and being exposed to things that most kids would never ever know about. Thanks again to my kids who have opened up the world to me.
After we get fingerprinted, we will wait for our I-171 which is the approval of our I-600. The I-171 notifies us that the visa approval has been sent to the US Embassy in Seoul. Then we just wait for the Korea side of the process to progress (this is what is taking a long time)

QUOTATION MONDAY and 7-11 Months Now!
Oh my goodness! We have officially waited one month for Avah today! Now we are down to a 7-11 month wait!
"Happy are those who dream dreams and are willing to pay the price to make them come true"
I know that the wait will continue to be even harder, but it will be so worth it.

UNEXPECTED UPDATE!

Today we received an update from our agency about Avah! This update is from Avah's social worker in Korea and took place on September 2 so it is pretty recent. We are thrilled about how well our little girl is doing.
Today, Na Yeon had a 16 month old check up and here is an update on her.
Feeding: She takes 240 cc of formula four times a day. She eats rice twice a day along with side dishes such as fish, seaweed, egg, tofu, soy bean soup, radish soup. She does not eat spicy food. As a snack, she eats Yoplait, cheese, cookies and bread. She eats apple and peach. She is not picky.
Bath: She has a bath once a day and likes to bathe. She wants to stay in the water long while bathing.
Sleeping: She sleeps from 10 or 11pm and gets up at 9 am. She sleeps through the night. She takes a nap once or twice a day. She tends to sleep well even with noise.
Development: She can say omma (mommy), appa (daddy), uh-bu-ba (means piggy-back), bop (means rice). She points at things she wants with her finger. She drinks juice or water by cup. She turns pages of a book. She holds a pencil and scribbles on paper. If the foster mother asks her to bring a diaper, she brings it and give to the foster mother. She follows simple directions from her foster mother. She likes to watch children's program on TV. She shakes and moves to the music and claps. She plays with toys and her favorite is to ride a toy car which we call Bung-bung-car. She likes adults and children.
As of Sept 2, 2010, weight 11.6 kg (25.5 pounds), height 83.6 cm, teeth 8/8.
Na Yeon is good natured. If her foster family touches her face, she likes it. We took a picture of Na Yeon and will send it to you by DHL.
We will be getting an updated photo soon!!!
