20 things about Avah

1. She walks and runs well despite her vision special need but she does occasionally stumble due to her constantly needing to refocus (I do believe she will need glasses).

2. She is deaf in one ear and it does not affect her hearing. She hears everything as her other ear is normal.

3. She loves going up and down our stairs.

4. She is very neat and tidy. Without us telling her to, she, folds her bib and puts it in the drawer after meal times, throws trash away, brings dishes to the sink, puts toys away. . .

5. She likes looking at books and will not tear pages

6. She holds crayons/pencils the correct way

7. She respects my electronic toys (interested but listens to me when I say "no, don't touch". She does want my keys though. . .

8. She dances to music

9. She walks with a spring in her step

10. She does very well in the carseat

11. She has never had a fit with us but will cry when she wants something but stops as soon as she gets it (we will have to break her of this)

12. She is very attentive with toys

13. She loves her dolls

14. She is very scared I am going to leave her and will become quite panicked if she thinks I am walking away from her.

15. She doesn't talk much but she seems to be repeating by whispering some of the english words I am telling her.

16. She is always putting on everyone's shoes in the house

17. She is perfect with our two dogs

18. She has two dimples that she shows off often

19. She loves to be the center of attention

20. She is in the 100th percentile for her height but still comes across as very dainty

We Got Avah!

Finally, she touches me. She was very upset and would not let me touch her in the van ride to our hotel. She was exhausted with grief.

Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Daddy's Day to my wonderful husband, Ryan. I just want to thank him for the sacrifices he makes every day for his family, including the one he is making right now by staying back home. I know he wanted to be here to see his kids enjoy Korea. We wish so much that he was here with us. I cannot wait to introduce our new daughter to him when we get off the plane.
Thank YOU Ryan/Daddy for making our dreams come true! We love you so very much!
Love, Amy, Kaden, Kacie, and Avah

The toy market! Really a lot of fun!
This was our favorite store

Riding the subway. Kaden liked that he could reach the handle. Kacie made a new friend just about every time we rode the subway. The Korean adults loved talking to Kaden and Kacie
fun drink seletions! We love the skinny pop cans
Looking outside of our floor on Eastern, cool parking garage!
Today we went to the Korean Toy Market. It is an alley way full of 100 of toy vendors! I loved it! We got Avah many Pororo things (Korean carton character that she likes) and K and K got many toys, some unique and fun Korean toys! I will have to take a pic and describe them later.
We also went to the war museum and was pretty impressed. I will upload more pics later on that
.
yes, this is the best pic I got. It was sunny where I was standing so I didn't know Kaden had his hands over his eyes.

Looking at the newborn babies who are in the same room that they were in as newborns. . .
Lunch at Eastern! we are eating with the Dillon birthland tour. THere are also other adoptive families there.

Kaden really loves Korean food
Looking at the picture of himself on the fourth floor of Eastern!! We stayed on the fourth floor.
Have to write more later, but Kacie would not let her fostermom go. She had so many tears. The fostermom also would not stop holding Kacie. The tears were running down both faces
