I have never been a good writer or journal keeper, I don't know why I thought I would be good at blogging, but I am just a proud mother and now grandmother and I so much enjoy sharing this joy with others and I love reading about other's adventures in this thing we call parenting, grandparenting....life in general.  Yet I still can't believe it has been six months and another grandchild since I have written and shared our new bundle with who ever may read this.

Our third grandchild was born on March 7, 2013 at 7:15 a.m. and he weighed 9 lbs and was 21 inches long.  He is such a handsome little thing and looks more like our babies than the other two granchildren did when they were born.  Please meet Mr. Cade............

He was one day old in the top picture and a couple a week old in the bottom one.

Cade and his parents don't live close to us, so we don't get to snuggle and love on him as much as we would like, but they are so happy and he is such a lucky little boy to have them as parents.  Here are a few more recent pictures of all three.......
Landry smiling big, such a happy baby boy!

He will be mobil before we know it!

As you can see I am eat up with them!  They truely are the joy of our lives right now!

There really is a lot going on in our family right now.  I will write a post to update for my own records, not that anyone else read this and that's ok!

Grandmother again!

I know I am horrible at posting anything in my life, but this one is worth a post!  We are GRAND PARENTS again!  Our little bundle of joy arrived on October 30, 2012 weighing in at 8 pounds 7 oz and 19 1/2" long!  His name is Landry James and he is the cutest little/big baby boy I have ever seen.  Mother and baby are doing great....she is just surprised at how much work a little baby can be, but she is loving every minute of it.  Some of their stories are hilarious, beginning parenthood is a story all itself!  Here are a few pictures of our little bundle Landry (named after the Dallas Cowboy legendary coach Tom Landry), they are both big Cowboy fans!
Well this is a picture of part of his nursery, wasn't quite finished but close and the chair has been recovered.

Our little chunky monkey!  Isn't he cute though!

I had to put this one in......he wasn't happy, but sure is cute!

And I can't leave little Preslee out, she is a little doll!  She's 10 months old today!

The bottom one is her first ponytail....she looks so much older with a ponytail!  She is such a joy...we love being grandparents!

July........Already!

Seriously, where does the time go.....it's already July, one half the year gone!  A lot has happened the first half of 2012....in January we were anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first grand child and learned our oldest child is diabetic, he's 31 and in excellent shape!!

February 1 she arrived, Preslee Jo - 7 lbs 1 oz, such an exciting time and so amazing to be a grandparent!

March my parents celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary!   I hosted Bunco and also broke my leg requiring surgery, rod, pin and physical therapy....thank goodness my mother was around to help me out, cooked, cleaned, and ran errands for us!  What would I do without my mother!

My parent's 56th Anniversary dinner!

April we learn we are going to be grandparents again!  This time our daugher is pregnant and and they are expecting a baby around the first of November!  Also our youngest son got married....at our house, while I have a broke leg.....but the wedding was beautiful!

Maid of Honor, Bride and mother of bride

May....well not much happened in May other than I was released by my doctor to go back to work and continue physical therapy, the leg and walking is getting better but not 100% yet! We did have a good Mother's Day weekend and Memorial Day weekend.

Me and Peyton -Mother's Day weekend!

Preston, Brittany and Preslee Jo mother's day weekend!

June we hosted a "gender reveal" party for our daughter and son-in-law to announce and find out what they would be having....hopefully I will have a few pictures to share. This was the neatest little party and so stress free. Also in June my husband and I celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary - he was sick that whole week so we only went out to eat, but he is better now.

It's a BOY!

Before the gender reveal...another post on this coming!

Big girl sitting up at almost 5 months old

Preslee is growing so fast, she is the best little baby, talks and smiles, laughs out loud, sits up really well and is starting to roll over. At her 4 month doctor visit, she weighed 12 lbs and 14 oz of course she cried when she got her shots but not long and she didn't really feel too bad afterwards!

We have spent a few weekends on the lake and enjoying the boat and family and friends. Also, we are looking forward to celebrating the 4th of July with family and friends, grilling ribs, chicken and doing all the trimming....including watermelon! We will be off the rest of the week making it a five day holiday!

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Broken Leg, Easter surprise and Beautiful wedding!

Here it is, Tuesday, April 24 and I sit here at my beautiful home and type out this blog of what's up in my life.  Usually you know I am at work where I type my "few" blogs and read and keep up with what is going on with my blogging buddies.  Even though I don't make many entries I do read up on blogs daily, don't know what keeps me so interested but they do.

Anyway, on to me and why I am at home. On Friday, March 23, by husband and I went to visit some friends down the road, it was around 9:30 p.m. when we got there, there were friends, music and beautiful weather, we were outdoors and I was going to get him up to dance. He had on boots, I had on flip flops and as I pulled him up and he had some resistance, he just kept coming over on me and we took a pretty bad tumble and ended up breaking the femur bone in my left leg which required surgery! So on Saturday I went in for surgery to have a titanium rod and screws put in my left left through way of my knee. I was in the hospital until the following Tuesday and have been at home and taking therapy since. My work has been fantastic about the whole situation and I hope to be back the first of May. It has not been a fun journey and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone.....it's been tough since I am 51 years old, but family, my husband, children and friends have been great.....along with my dog, she really missed me while I was gone and now doesn't let me get out of her sight very long before she comes looking for me where ever I am.

We had a very special Easter this year. My daughter and her husband invited all the local family to come to their home in Longview to attend church services with them and have Easter lunch at their house since this was one holiday no family had spoken for......or that is what she told us any way. Family was Jordan's parents, me, Pete, Preston, Brittany and our grand daughter, Preslee Jo and my parents, Granny and Grand daddy! After the prayer and before the lunch Peyton said, "oh wait, I want you'll to have a little east give I got for each family" and gave us a little plastic egg, told us to go ahead and open it and there inside was a picture of their 10 week sonogram......THEY'RE EXPECTING! We just all went crazy....so excited for them. The baby is due the first of November and she is now 12 weeks pregnant......after 4 years of marriage it's about time! So grandbaby number 2 is on it's way!

Peyton and Jordan expecting our second grandbaby in November.....Yeah!

Here is our first grand baby, Preslee Jo, playing with her activity center and smiling, she is such a happy baby girl!

Then on April 14 my baby boy and his fiance were married.....at our home, while I was still mostly layed up and not able to walk without the assitance of a walker or crutches.  Thanks to my very talented sister-in-law, she had it all under control for the decorations and her daughter was a wonderful help also.  My mother helped with the food, and of course Brittany's family was wonderful in the help also.  The wedding was beautiful, the wind was blowing about 30 miles an hour on the lake so the table decorations had to be deleted from the decorations, we could barely keep the table cloths on.....but they were married, happy, and it was beautiful.
My children and their spouses (L-R Peyton, Jordan, Preston, Preslee Jo, Brittany, Brandie, Peter Joe)  Peter Joe performed the ceremony and did a fantastic job as usual!

Janice (sister-in-law) is so talented!

One month old!

Little Preslee Jo is one month old! Seems like she has been with us forever! We are enjoying this baby so much and her parents are doing an excellent job with her. She is really starting to notice us and is making the cutest faces. She sleeps great and eats great, notice her little legs starting to fill out! She is the best thing that has happened in a long time! I can't wait to enjoy more precious grandchildren but right now, she is perfect!

Meet Preslee Jo

Looking like a big girl on her week old birthday!

Sound asleep on Superbowl Sunday she was 4 days old Preslee and Lovey's first meeting!

Cute Hospital picture!

Miss Preslee Jo came on 02/01/2012 at 1:02 a.m. She weighed 7 lbs and 1 oz. and was 19 3/4" long! Just amazing! When our son came walking out of the delivery room with her all bundled up ,like a little burrito she was looking at all of us like "what in the world just happened" she was just as alert as could be and has a head full of black hair! Preston was on cloud nine as was her mommy she just wasn't feeling as well as Preston since she had to have a c-section. I have to say, I was so proud of Preston and I continue to be so proud of him, he has really taken to this role of being a daddy and is doing such of good job of helping out in many ways. Brit is doing good too, she is now almost two weeks away from the c-section and she is getting better all the time.

Preslee is just adorable and she really is a good baby, she gets held A LOT! and she is still good when she gets layed down. It probably feels good for her to be able to stretch out since we just all seem to cuddle her, she's so cuddly though! They have been so good to share her....but they do have the hand sanitizer out as a reminder for people to clean their hands before handling!

I have been ask to go with her to the first pediatrician appointment this Thursday and it just made my day, I can't wait to get to show her off in public! They have been to the house with her, but I haven't been in public yet so I can say "yes look this is my grand daughter" it just still seems surreal!

Preslee and her daddy!

IT'S BABY TIME

I'm about to leave work but just had to post right quick even though no one read this! We are about to become grandparents for the first time, so excited!

Her water started leaking this morning, they called her doctor and she said, "come on down, lets have a baby"! I am just so excited, can't do anything at work, but let everyone know!

Please pray for a good labor and healthy baby girl and momma!

Thank you God for all your blessings!

I'll post when I can!
