Here it is, Tuesday, April 24 and I sit here at my beautiful home and type out this blog of what's up in my life. Usually you know I am at work where I type my "few" blogs and read and keep up with what is going on with my blogging buddies. Even though I don't make many entries I do read up on blogs daily, don't know what keeps me so interested but they do.
Anyway, on to me and why I am at home. On Friday, March 23, by husband and I went to visit some friends down the road, it was around 9:30 p.m. when we got there, there were friends, music and beautiful weather, we were outdoors and I was going to get him up to dance. He had on boots, I had on flip flops and as I pulled him up and he had some resistance, he just kept coming over on me and we took a pretty bad tumble and ended up breaking the femur bone in my left leg which required surgery! So on Saturday I went in for surgery to have a titanium rod and screws put in my left left through way of my knee. I was in the hospital until the following Tuesday and have been at home and taking therapy since. My work has been fantastic about the whole situation and I hope to be back the first of May. It has not been a fun journey and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone.....it's been tough since I am 51 years old, but family, my husband, children and friends have been great.....along with my dog, she really missed me while I was gone and now doesn't let me get out of her sight very long before she comes looking for me where ever I am.
We had a very special Easter this year. My daughter and her husband invited all the local family to come to their home in Longview to attend church services with them and have Easter lunch at their house since this was one holiday no family had spoken for......or that is what she told us any way. Family was Jordan's parents, me, Pete, Preston, Brittany and our grand daughter, Preslee Jo and my parents, Granny and Grand daddy! After the prayer and before the lunch Peyton said, "oh wait, I want you'll to have a little east give I got for each family" and gave us a little plastic egg, told us to go ahead and open it and there inside was a picture of their 10 week sonogram......THEY'RE EXPECTING! We just all went crazy....so excited for them. The baby is due the first of November and she is now 12 weeks pregnant......after 4 years of marriage it's about time! So grandbaby number 2 is on it's way!
Peyton and Jordan expecting our second grandbaby in November.....Yeah!
Here is our first grand baby, Preslee Jo, playing with her activity center and smiling, she is such a happy baby girl!

Then on April 14 my baby boy and his fiance were married.....at our home, while I was still mostly layed up and not able to walk without the assitance of a walker or crutches. Thanks to my very talented sister-in-law, she had it all under control for the decorations and her daughter was a wonderful help also. My mother helped with the food, and of course Brittany's family was wonderful in the help also. The wedding was beautiful, the wind was blowing about 30 miles an hour on the lake so the table decorations had to be deleted from the decorations, we could barely keep the table cloths on.....but they were married, happy, and it was beautiful.
My children and their spouses (L-R Peyton, Jordan, Preston, Preslee Jo, Brittany, Brandie, Peter Joe) Peter Joe performed the ceremony and did a fantastic job as usual!

Janice (sister-in-law) is so talented!
