Easter/family pictures

Our new favorite hot spot is discovery green. It's super fun! And super picturesque. We just took our tripod down. Please excuse the remote in some of them, but they're definitely us. :) I love them.

we are marching.

One of the most talked about food items at the Houston rodeo is this little booth. I'm on a quest to stay healthy so we didn't try anything, but I started to wonder if they still sold fried twinkies. It's just wrong, I say.  We talked My Mom into the idea that Houston rodeo was probably different than any other rodeo she had been to. so we went and enjoyed! Jeff loved the cows and the cars.  Aria is my adventure maker and she made friends with this cute little girl in line so she could have a partner in the dragon. It was fun to see her finally light up with a friend in mind.  I'm so glad we went early because it got crrrrrazy. When it got busier we headed over to the kids' section and enjoyed the corn-box.  My favorite part though was watching Jeff watch the actual rodeo. :) He was into it every step of the way. Concert and everything. We had so much fun while Grandma was here. We loved just being with her. I hope she can come again and again...

2 weeks of us

After Chelsea left and before my Mom came we tried to do some fun things together. I'm kinda the champion of that and we love finding all the fun things to do in a big city.  We stopped by the center for contemporary craft in Houston to check out their exhibits and make these cool clay ornaments. I have to admit, that Jeff's was actually my favorite. :)  We let Jeff take control of the camera ( credit above and below image.)  We spend a lot of days after school at the playground and Aria spends nearly all of our time hanging. She just recently discovered how to hang upside down and I loved that as a kid so it totally makes me feel nostalgic... I took Aria to yoga with me and my friend Az. They had a free event also going on at the park and we decided to let Aria give rock climbing a try. She froze about 2/3 of the way up, but she did great before then. She looked so cute in her climbing gear.  Our whole family has started going to yoga to...

sisters in houston.

To say that I was excited to see my sister is an understatement! I just love her so much!!! And her cute kids I could just squeeze all day. I'm not gonna lie, she definitely has her hands full but I sure loved getting to know them a little better.  We did nothing but party the whole time she was here... and it was awesome!! Children's museum was a highlight for the boys. so much to do, so little focus. haha.  We weren't even going to go to this area, we didn't have a change of clothes or anything, but this was their favorite part. Getting soaked to the bone.  Chelsea and I crafted.... She really should do it more often, she's really quite talented at such things. I couldn't believe how different ours turned out. So fun.  Charlotte helped me win in 3 handed pinochle. :)  And we did lots of playing outside. Jeff was sleeping in Aria's room and she didn't want to ruin her dress, so we let her put on some of Jeff's clothes that he leaves ...

so so much fun!

Jeff is in LOVE with cars lately. That and monsters and trains and dinosaurs. We have  a ton of fun at our house. We had a pretty basic party with just a few friends on Saturday. But it was all cars themed. We played car car truck. ate yummy food. and drove cars on the 'track' on the floor.  Red light green light was the main event...  Jeff covered this thing with m and ms all by himself. He loved his birthday! All of it.  Opening presents! He loves this part.  On his actual birthday (Sunday) we downplayed it but still gave him extra loves. We went on a walk in his new rocket ship pj's which he loves!!!  His birthday gift from us was a ride on the train! This boy was in hea. ven. He stretches his first two fingers out and drives them around like cars. Sound effects and everything. Hot wheels, apparently are optional. He also has an affinity for airplanes as clearly demonstrated... :) Waiting for the train....  Here it comes!!...
