Choc Oat Marie (Kek Batik alif.lam.wau.nga)

I am such a big fan of kek batik!

But I eat quite round the clock most of the time :p Thus it scares me to see some kek batik uses 6-8 eggs???!!!

So I prefer the one that doesn’t use egg but still retain that eggy texture & doesn’t require any baking of course ;)

Made 2 kek batiks using that container that kak Yan calls ‘bekas (samosa) Megat', hehe...

1 for me, 1 for the unit
Ingredients
  • 50-100g butter
  • 3-4 tablespoon of cocoa powder (Van Houten)
  • ½ tin of condensed milk
  • 1-2 cups water
  • 5-6 cups of oat
  • 1 pack of Marie biscuit (broken into 3 or 4 pieces)
  • Sun flower seeds/ nuts (optional)
  1. Melt the butter on slow fire
  2. Add the cocoa powder & mix well
  3. Pour the condensed milk & mix them
  4. Put in 1 cup of water 1st, mix
  5. Add the oat, if it’s too thick, then add a lil’ water till you reach the suitable texture.
  6. Turn off the fire & let cool for a while
  7. Add the broken Marie biscuit pieces into the choc oat mixture & mix well. Add in the sunflower seeds/ nuts last minute (optional)
  8. Pour the whole mixture into suitable containers (about ½ way through). Try to even it out in the container.
  9. Put in the freezer for at least 2 hours before devour time!
1 down, there's 1 more, yeay!

In a month…

I would have to leave this place, if according to the univ. letter. But response from KayPeeM still none. Calls also have been unsuccessful.

Workload is adding up... Anticipation is rising…

A whole day of R&D Workshop

Fortunately I was still able to attend all my classes since I wasn’t required to participate in the workshop. My name wasn’t in the list as participant, just as a committee.

I guess the project manager was of the opinion that I didn’t need such training anymore since I had attended the same course in the past, only with different speaker/trainer. Normally I would disagree with that. Any knowledge needs a refresher course, in any form.

But as the sessions coincided with my class hours, I opted for the classes. I participated though, in the half 1st session & the closing ceremony. Alhamdulillah…
