Crib

On Thursday, I was driving home from work and saw Aaron on the side of the road at a baby garage sale standing by a crib. So of course I pulled over so I could look at it too. We ended up buying it. It is a nice crib made of oak and it is older but I think they were made better back then. I will get a new mattress for it, but we got it for 75 bucks! Pretty good. Also here is the link to the crib set that we picked out at target. We registered there for it. It is so cute!

Aaron's Story

While we were in Paris over Thanksgiving Aaron went hunting. (of course). He saw this buck and decided to shoot it. After he shot the buck two coyotes ran out of the woods and started trying to drag off his deer!! So he pulled up his gun and shot one of the coyotes. The other one ran off. So that is why he has a deer and a coyote in the back of his truck. The coyote was actually kind of pretty, but it smelled terrible.

Aaron with just his Deer. (I hate the way the deer has it's dead tongue sticking out of it's mouth. That is the nastiest part.) Aaron thinks it reminds him of natalie when she is thinking hard. She sticks her tongue out the same way:)

The Deer and the coyote.

24 Weeks

Here I am at 6 Months. I am getting bigger. She makes my back hurt pretty bad most of the time. I have been trying to do a lot of back exercises and things to help. Other than that we are still doing good. She is growing bigger and I can feel her kicking me and moving around all the time!

We're having...

We are having a girl!! I was very surprised when we went in for the ultrasound because I thought it was a boy for sure. As soon as she put the ultrasound on my stomach she said, "Oh wow, it's a girl!" It was very obvious that she was a girl because she had her legs spread wide open. Then then moved it all over my stomach because she wouldn't be still. She moves all the time. I hope this doesn't mean she is going to be a crazy kid. They checked her brain, her stomach, her heart, her spine, her feet, her lip and nose, etc. Everything looked perfect. They said that she is kind of a small baby though (27th percentile) and if they had to make a guess at how big she would be when she is born they would say about 7 pounds. I think that is a good size. But still not accurate because they gain all their weight later. So yay! We have decided to name her Jordan Kaye Murdock.

This is the 3D Picture. Since the baby wouldn't hold still, it makes her look deformed.

Here is a good one of her profile.

This is the picture of her little bottom showing that she is indeed a girl! They know from the three lines.

Baby Bump?

Well here I am at 16 weeks. I know you can't see the bump that well but it is definitely there. I haven't blogged in forever, but since Aaron is in Austin at a surveying convention, I am having a lot of lonely time so I figured I would at least post this picture. I am 17 weeks today, but I am only going to take a picture every month instead of every week. We heard the heart beat again today though and everything sounded good. We also found out that we will find out what we are having on November 10th. I can't wait!!! 2 weeks and 5 days. And I've gained 7 pounds since the beginning of pregnancy. I've never weighted this much in my life! It's exciting. We'll keep you posted! (and by the way that is not my belly button sticking out that is actually my button on my pants since I can't button them!)

Boy or Girl

I totally stole the idea from my friends blog to vote on if we are having: boy or girl? It looked like fun! So please vote. We will find out in five weeks so you have a while to vote!

Aaron's Nasty Head

Aaron killed a 400 pound hog a few weeks ago and here is the picture of Aaron holding the head. I did not take the picture because I was way to grossed out by that thing. As you can tell though...Aaron is proud. Hopefully he will look that excited when he is holding our baby!

Hill Reunion

Okay so this reunion was awesome!!
Thursday me and Aaron rode to Tennessee with my parents and we stayed in a hotel in Cooksville and then ate at IHOP for dinner. The next morning we got up and drove about two hours to my sister's house. We were there for a couple of hours and then we drove to the cabin. We thought it was going to take about an hour to get there but it ended up taking about three because traffic was so bad. But once we wound around in the mountains for a while it was worth it because the eight bedroom, eight bathroom cabin was amazing.

You can go to this website to see the cabin.
Friday night we had pizzed, waited for everyone to get there, layed down the rules for the kids and picked our rooms.
Saturday morning was had waffles (amazing ones with everything on them) and then we went for a hike in the smoky mountains. We got to see a mama bear with her cubs and also a dear with her fawn. That night we played games and started our ping pong tournament. We got third, Phillip and Lisa got second, and my parents won. They are good!
Sunday morning we got up early and had family pictures. They were really fun. I will post those once I get the professional ones back. Then we had sacrament meeting at the cabin and little testimony meeting. It was really great. Then we just did crazy games. We did leg wrestling, blind folded the women and shaved their husbands faces. We played a game where you were blind folded and then you have to feel all the hands and guess which one is your spouse. My sister Wendy (who hates feet) claimed that if she could just see each one of our feet she could tell who's it was. We didn't believe her so we all went into a room and put up a blanket and would stick our foot out one at a time and she would write down who's she thought it was. To trick her all the guys shaved their feet in the bathtub. We were laughing so hard. She ended up getting them all right though! We also had a talent show for the kids on Sunday. My nephew Brett can jump rope while on a pogo stick. It was crazy awesome. We also did Karaoke on Sunday which I wish I had taken video of, but I was making dinner while that was going on.
Monday we went to a little putt putt and it had some rides too. Then we went to the Apple Barn. It was delicious. Then we had an FHE lesson and played some more games.
Tuesday we went to Ober Gatlinberg. IT is a little amusement park above Gatlinberg and it had a pirate ship, bumper cars, a few little water rides, and an alpine slide. You had to ride a ski lift up to ride the alpine slide. We all had a blast. We also played games like murder in the dark, hide and go seek in the dark for the kids, and mafia. Mafia was the best. We had such a good time playing that.
Wednesday we left and it was super depressing. I will post some pictures now.

Colorado- Whitworth Reunion

I am going to take this day by day.
Wednesday- We flew into Denver and Aaron's grandparents picked us up from the airport. We went to Costco (love that place) and got some food. Then we went back to their house, and Aaron's mom and brothers and sisters were already at the house. While Grandma and Grandpa went back to pick up another family, we hiked up to this dam that had this gorgeous lake at the top. It took forever and we were tired by the end, but it was worth it. I don't have any pictures though because I didn't take my camera. We then went home and saw Aaron's uncles and Aunts that had already arrived with their kids.
Thursday- We got up and waited for the rest of the family to get into town. Finally the Jensen's arrived and we went to this Community Recreational Center. It had basketball courts, volleyball, and an indoor waterpark area. It was a blast. We had fun on the diving board and going down the water slides. Then we went home and ate and did a bunch of stuff around the house.
There was a lot to do in the neighborhood. They had tennis courts, swimming pool, a park about a block away that had a lake and also sand volleyball, which was a lot of fun. Thursday night the Jolley's got there and of course any time anyone showed up it got ten times louder.
Friday- We got up and went to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. It was so awesome. The hike was fun and we hiked up to a waterfall. My sister Wendy and her husband and two kids met us and came with us on the hike. After the hiking, Aaron went back with his family home, and I drove up this steep and windy path in RMNP with my sister and her family. It was scarey going up but the scenery was awesome. Finally we made it to the top where it was 40 degrees, snowy and we were 12,000 feet above sea level. It was amazing, but yet again.... I didn't have my camera. What was I thinking? On the way down the mountain there was a traffic jam and we couldn't see what it was. IT turned out to be these huge six point elks sitting right on the side of the road so everyone was stopping to take pictures.
Saturday- We hung out around the house. Played volleyball. Swam. Did Relay races...etc. We then went to some fireworks in Longmont. They were awesome. We got there early and then played pickle in the parking lot next to where we were. There were 45 of us so games were fun.
Sunday- We got up and watched Federer and Roddick play their amazing game of tennis and then went to church, and only stayed for Sacrament because Aaron and I had to leave at 3:30. After church we went home and had a fabulous sunday dinner, and then had our family talent shows. It was awesome. Right after we flew out!!!
I love Aaron's family reunions and I can't wait another two years until the next one. I really hope we can make it to the next one! Here are some pictures.
