My Sad Little Garden.......

This is just so pathetic I had to post a picture. Obviously I wasn't born with a knack for gardening, but I wanted to try anyway. We don't have a yard, so I just tried to plant tomatoes, green onions, peas, and beans in pots. As you can see I haven't been very successful! I have about 4 beans growing now (my Mom thinks I should just go ahead and cook them!), the peas never came, the green onions are miniature, and the tomatoes are tie-died. Oh, and see all the weeds? They're not having any problem growing! Maybe someday I'll try again! So funny! I must have other talents......

My baby's growing up!

I was looking through pictures and came across this one that was taken back in March. It doesn't seem like that long ago, but I can't believe how much Ivy has changed. She is just growing way too fast! I keep telling her to stop, but she doesn't listen :)
I also wanted to show off two of my cute neices: On the left is Mya, and on the right is Livia. I love and miss them, and my other cute neice and nephews like crazy! It is sad sometimes living away from family - I have to miss out on watching them grow up. We'll come back someday guys! Utah's home!

Genius!

You should all be so proud of me. I finally figured out how to change the colors on my blog! I told John today that I probably need to take a computer class. It takes me a little longer than others!

Future Blogger

Ivy always tries so hard to get the computer keyboard while I'm on the computer. This is her "please pick me up so I can play with that" face!

Children's Museum

My mom has been here visiting this week, and mostly I've spent my time painting, and my Mom has been taking care of Ivy for me. (So great! There's no way I could have painted without her here!) But today we decided to have some fun, and took Ivy to the Children's Museum. She loves it there! She just loves to watch the other kids, and look around. One thing that she does now that is so cute is peek-a-boo, and there were lots of "trees" and other things to play peek-a-boo behind! I'm glad my Mom got to come play with us!

A cute poem from storyit.com

"Where Did You Come From, Baby Dear"

by George MacDonald

Where did you come from, baby dear?
Out of the everywhere into here.

Where did you get yur eyes so blue?
Out of the sky as I came through.

What makes the light in them sparkle and spin?
Some of the starry spikes left in.

Where did you get that little tear?
I found it waiting when I got here.

What makes your forehead so smooth and high?
A soft hand stroked it as I went by.

What makes your cheek like a warm white rose?
I saw something better than anyone knows.

Whence that three-cornered smile of bliss?
Three angels gave me at once a kiss.

Where did you get this pearly ear?
God spoke, and it came out to hear.

Where did you get those arms and hands?
Love made itself into hooks and bands.

Feet, whence did you come, you darling things?
From the same box as the cherubs' wings.

How did they all just come to be you?
God thought about me, and so I grew.

But how did you come to us, you dear?
God thought about you, and so I am here.

I took Ivy to play in the grass the other day, and she was so funny! I don't know why, but she didn't like her left foot to touch the grass. The right foot was fine though. She especially loved to eat the grass. Yum! You all probably won't think that's as cute as I do, but I'm just a nerd that way I guess!
Oh, and good news! We are getting high-speed internet on Thursday, finally! So, I'll be able to start posting lots more pictures. Yay!

Patriotic Family!

I thought since we were all dressed in Red, White and Blue we should take a family pic yesterday.

We had a fun 4th. John had the day off!!! So, we went to the ward pancake breakfast, and then spent the evening with some friends who had a great view of the fireworks from their balcony. (That's where this picture is taken)

We hope you all had a fun holiday as well!

Uh-Oh!

What have we done?! This is Ivy watching TV (at least it's Baby Einstein). She is such a TV junkie! She just loves it, and sometimes it's the only reason I get to shower and brush my teeth! It's educational, right?
