Oh My, Oh My, where do I even begin? I have been wanting to update my blog since I got back from Utah a few days ago, but I just couldn't decide how to go about doing it. Should I just make one great big long post with a short summary of the big events, or should I back-date and just make a bunch of little posts? Oh, that might be kind-of confusing....Hmmmmm. So, here it is. Possibly the longest post ever on my blog! Pass down the blue ribbon! hehehe
Anyway, We had a really great time in Utah. Flying with essentially two "toddlers," is exhausting, but do-able. Not that I really reccomend it! But once we got there the trip was a blast! So, in no particular order, here is a summary of our activities:
We got to hang out with my best friend Brooke and her CUTE girls. Karlee is Ivy's age, and Halie is just old enough that she won't have to wait too long for Porter to get home from his mission :) hehehe. Seriously though, they are adorable! I wish we lived closer.
I got to leave the kiddos and have dinner with some other amazing gals. I didn't realize my camera is as complicated as it apparently is though. The girl at Fredrico's had an exceptionally difficult time operating the "point-and-shoot" mode, so this is the best we got. Oh well.

My nephews drove in the Demolition Derby. Crazy! This is Mike in front of his car before it got all smashed up.

I used to go to demolition derbies all the time and didn't think twice about the drivers' safety, but this time it was at the front of my mind! Luckily, they both survived! This is Jordan in front of his car before the wrecking game began.

We had a few choice days at Bear Lake. Oh, how I LOVE that place.
Ivy did a lot of this:

A miniscule amount of this:

And Porter just thought he was The Man. I can't even tell you how many times that apple fell in the sand, and he couldn't have cared less.

We got to visit with my Grandma and Grandpa Johnson. They are so sweet, and I was so glad for the chance to let the kids hang out with them for a bit.

My dad is the best Grandpa. He took the kids on walks or 4-wheeler rides almost every evening. They love him!

There were lots of good times with the cousins.

Probably the biggest event was Ivy's Birthday! My baby girl is 3! Crazy. We spent a few hours at the Logan Aquatic Center with some of the cousins, and a few pizzas.

And, the cake. Ta-Daa! Ivy requested a castle, and it was actually kind-of hard! It just didn't turn out as cute as I had hoped. I need to learn how to use fondant. But, Ivy loved it.

We also went to a very cool Dinosaur Park in Ogden. It was a super hot day, so we didn't stay too long, but the kids loved it and would have stayed all day.

There were so many cool dinosaur exhibits, and a dinosaur playground. Very fun.

So I guess that's it! Congratulations for making it to the end! We're glad to be back home with John, and are working on getting back into a routine. I have a ton of catch-up work to do, so I guess that'll teach me to leave town for a month!
