14 Weeks!

This is it, folks. "The Belly" at 14 weeks:

Whoa!

Preschool Graduation

Ivy Graduated from preschool last week! I know, I can hardly believe it myself. She is growing up so fast! She was very proud of herself. She had fun wearing the cap and gown, and singing for the graduation program. Way to Ivy! We are proud of you!

Here is her class singing (she is the 3rd from the right, in the back row). Ivy was in the 3-4 year old class this year rather than the pre-k class becuase her birthday is in August. She is graduating because John and I have decided to have her go to Kindergarten even though her birthday is a couple of weeks shy of the cut-off date. She is ready! So that is why she and 3 other kids from her class are the only ones in caps and gowns (they're also graduating early).

This is Miss Kim, one of Ivy's teachers. She is fabulous! We are so excited that Porter gets to be in her preschool class next year.

And this is Ivy's other teacher, Miss Michelle. We were so thankful that Ivy got to spend 2 mornings a week with teachers who were so genuine and loving towards her. She loves them.

Man oh Man, I love this little girl!

This is really the best picture I could get with both kids together. Why won't they just both look at the camera and hold still at the same time? Silly kids.

Part of the program was a slide show with pictures of each of the kids. Their teachers took a picture of them doing what they want to be when they grow up. A lot of the kids wanted to be doctors, or "Animal Doctors". Ivy said that she wants to be a Mommy! She'll be a great one someday, I am sure. I am so proud of her.
After the graduation, Ivy's teachers gave us a cookbook where each of the children presented a recipe for their favorite food. I'm not sure how she got so creative or so silly, but her recipe went like this:

Cereal
I like the little circle ones that taste like chicken. We pour a little bit of milk, a little bit of juice, a little bit o animal crackers and a little bit of chicken nuggets.
We cook it on the stove for 31 hours. We add salt to it.
We pour it in a bowl and add sugar. You need a napkin.
We have to use a fork and spoon. Sometimes you have a hard time getting it into your mouth.

These 2 Little Crazies

What do you do in the winter-time, when it's cold for months on end? Well, we tend to get a little crazy at our house! The kids have been very creative with their toys and dress-ups lately. Seriously, what would I do without them? I'm so thankful to have 2 little reasons to laugh everyday! I love my silly kids.

The big reason my blog has been neglected......

About 8 weeks ago, John came home from work to this fun Cupcake Scramble! He had a hard time decifering my message at first, but he did notice that the letters were pink and blue!

Before long, he unscrambled the message!

And he was pretty happy!

So, yes! Baby Wennergren #3 is on the way! That is my excuse for not keeping the blog updated. I am now at the big 12-week mark, so I'm starting to get some of my enegry back and feeling lots better. It's a good thing, becuase I have lots to do before this baby can come! I am due Thanksgiving Day!

Ivy and Porter are thrilled! Ivy knows that she has to wait until after Halloween, but she thinks that as long as my belly gets big, maybe the baby could come earlier. She, of course, wants a girl, since she already has a brother, and thinks we should name her Ariel. Porter has said that he would like a "boy like Porter", and wants to name him Porter. So, we're definitely not going to let our older children choose the name. John and I are just excited, and feeling very blessed.
