A visit from Nann

My Mom came to visit earlier this month. We had such a fun time with her! We went to the Children's Museum (see next post), went swimming, went to the Incredible Pizza Company (like a glorified Chuck-e-Cheese), painted the driveway with sidewalk paint, went out for Ice Cream, went to a movie, and had fun relaxing and playing at home. John's schedule was pretty bad this week, so I was very grateful for the company and the kids loved being able to wake her up nice and early in the morning! She is so good to us, and we loved having her! Thanks Mom!

Children's Museum

While my Mom was here we spent a morning at the Children's Museum. Ivy and Porter had fun showing their Nann all of their favorite things to do there.  They both love the dinosaur area, and had fun digging for dinosaur bones. This museum is so huge, we still haven't seen everything there even though we have a membership. We found a new area that had some pretend dinosaur eggs, and Ivy had fun being the Mommy dino and protecting her eggs. Porter's favorite area this time was in the new underwater adventure exhibit. He had fun wearing the scuba diving gear, and was occupied with that for about 30 minutes. He's really into dressing up these days, especially with things that have goggles, or any sort of gadget involved.

22 Weeks

I'm trying to do a better job at documenting this pregnancy, so here I am at 22 weeks. I had my 22 week doctor's visit yesterday, and learned that I have a very active little boy! He wouldn't hold still for the doctor to find a heart-beat, but he sure enjoyed kicking the doppler! My doctor commented that he is more active than the average, and that I'll probably be chasing him around quite a bit! Oh great :) It was good to hear the heartbeat though, and just be reassured that everything is going ok. The kids are still really excited to have a new baby in the family, although Porter commented that he wants to be the baby still. So, we may have a little adjustment period there. That's all the news I have for today, but I'll keep you posted!
