Holiday Junction

Our Museum Center has a really fun train display for Christmas. It has a little train the kids can ride, toy trains to play with, and Santa is there. Carter loves trains right now so it is a huge hit. He would ride the little train around and around all day if I let him.

This ones for Granny!

This is the Christmas package that Granny sent us. Carter loved the airplanes she taped to the side of the box. He had tons of fun playing in the box and he loved the two airplanes he got to open already. Christmas will be fun this year. He brings presents to me and says "Open", Help"

Fun with the Fam!

Here is Carter, Nate, and Ben (Nate's Brother).

Carter loves Thomas the tank and all things "choo-choo-train". His grandma got him a sweatshirt. He loves it and asks to wear it all the time.

Here is one of the most recent pictures of all three of us. Carter always seems to have his mouth open, whether he is smiling, laughing, or not.

Kristin Chenoweth in Concert

Nate and I went and saw Kristin Chenoweth last night at the Lindner family Christmas party. We get tickets through Shriner's Hospital. She was fantastic! I've haven't seen a show I enjoyed more in years. The only drawback was that she only sang one Christmas song. But we really enjoyed it. In case anyone doesn't know who she is, she starred in Wicked on broadway and is now on the TV show Pushing Daisies. She also has three albums out, including a christian CD--Cool, huh! Anyway, you'll have to check out her song "Taylor, the Latte Boy"--absolutely hilarious.

Finally finished!

Well, after living in our house for three years we have finally painted the dining room. It is so nice to not have to look into a hard hat yellow room with holes and cracks all over the walls. Now I just have to convince Nate to let me hang some stuff up in there. He is usually against putting holes in walls where he just got rid of them all. Here are the before and after shots.

Silliness on the stairs

Needless to say that this one was instigated by daddy!! I certainly don't encourage Carter to go throwing things down the stairs. We'll know who to blame when he puts a nice big whole in the wall. But hey--he loved it.

NATE--Before and After

We are so proud of him for losing 40 lbs. The only problem is, now his clothes are too big. I sure wish I had that problem.
We are so lucky to have good friends close by to hang out with. Carter's friend Brian, and Tilly (the arm) have lots of playdates. We go to the children's museum together about once a week.

Hallzooween

My friend Kari took us to the Zoo for Hallzooween! It was so much fun, and don't the boys look adorable in thier matching pit crew outfits. Thanks Kari!
Here is our little boy. He sure isn't a baby anymore. He talks more and more everyday. He is using a lot more two and three word phrases now. It is so fun.

Carter's grandma has a fall festival every year at her house for our ward. It always involves a hayride. This year we did a trunk or treat too. It was so much fun. Lots of great food and Carter had such a fun time running around.

Touch a truck was so much fun. I hope your communities all do it. There were police cars, fire trucks, tanks, dump trucks, garbage trucks, buses, tractors, and more and the kids had free reign to get inside of them. Carter especially loved the bus and the gator. It was a blast, one I will try not to miss each year.

David's visit. Carter loved his "bike".

A bit of Catch up

Kings Island host a day each year for Nate's company--Carter liked the train ride the best.

Best days of Summer

Carter loves playing in the water. We played in the pool tons this summer. It was so nice to be able to just sit it on the front porch and hang out. But with fall on its way we'll have to take more baths. This little blow up pool was great because I could throw it in my trunk and take it with me to friends houses. Here we were at Carter's grandma's house. What fun.

Okay Already!!!!

Messy stuff!!
Carter with his friend Morgan that we watch a couple times a week.

Fourth of July!!!

Who needs a pool when you've got a bucket?

Hooray for bathtime. It is Carter's favorite!

Airplanes

Carter's new favorite thing is airplanes. He yells airplane and points up whenever he hears one, whether indoors or outdoors. Since we live quite near an airport we can hear several planes a day. Granted he sometimes mistakes a loud motorcycle or something else, but more often then not, he is right. He definitely notices them way more than I ever would. So who knows maybe he will follow in his grandpa's footsteps and take to the sky someday.

A Bengals Tribute

Nate is getting Carter prepared for the Football Season. For all of you who are not football fans (aka my family) Who-Dey is sort of a cheer for the Bengals. You know, "Who-Dey, Who-Dey, Who-Dey think gonna beat them Bengals". Nate is determined to have him saying it well by August.

Museum Pics

We have passes to our museum center. It is a great place for kids. They have a whole section just for kids and then a couple others too. Carter loves it there. We go a couple times a month and so I thought I would post some pictures from the museum.

Random Fun

Here are just some random pictures of the last month or so. He sure loves that red wagon. He would spend all day in it if I let him. Too bad we live on an enormous hill. I'm not always thrilled to trudge up it.

Our new Car

We sold our little Audi a couple of weeks ago and we finally got a replacement. It is a 2003 Honda Accord--and I am lovin' it!!! Then again, I haven't driven a car with air conditioning for a few months now, so that simple luxury excited me. Plus, it has black leather interior, remote entry, radio controls on steering wheel, 6 CD-disc changer, and dual air-conditioning control. It is so nice to have a newer car. We just hope it will be reliable. We feel like one of our 4 cars is always broken down this past year. We hope to narrow it down to two reliable ones here in the near future.

Mother's Day

I had a really nice mother's day. I woke up to presents and a baloon picked out by Carter of course. Nice Christmas wrapping, huh. It was a great day!

Fun at the Park

Monday Nate and I took Carter to the park. The idea was to go on a walk on some of the trails but Carter had spied the playground and had his own agenda. He threw such a fit when we tried to go walking that we decided we might as well let him play. It was lots of fun--especially with his daddy there. I just can't wait until he is old enough that I do not have to constantly follow him around so he doesn't jump/fall off anything. He seems to be fearless (totally unaware of the danger). But we had a great time.

Cute Pics

Here are a few more pictures from his one-year photos. I know they are a couple months old, but I thought I'd add them anyway.

First Ice Cream Cone

He seemed to enjoy it. Once again, like mother, like son!!
