We went to portrait innovations to have our 2 year pics made this year. I think they turned out good. Note: These are not the edited ones so some may look a little crooked.

I did not realize I never posted this picture. Nathan and I went and had our picture made together for Daddy on Fathers day. I think they turned out so good.

2 Year checkup

We went to see Dr. Walley today and had a great report. Nathan is weighing in at 27.6 pounds (50th percentile) and 35 inches (75-90th percentile). Dr Walley could not believe the growth spurt he has had and he was also impressed that we have not had to come see him since our 18 month checkup. I was just bragging at how well Nathan talks and how he really pronounces his words and that little terd was speechless the entire time. Just sat there and stared at Dr. Walley. Now we dont have to go back (unless needed) until we are 3.

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Today is Nathan 2nd birthday.... We started the day off going out to have a birthday breakfast which will now be a tradition and then tonight we sang happy bday and he got to blow out his candle. Which we had to do twice because he wanted to and he probably would have done more if we would have let him. Then we watched Alvin and the Chipmunks AGAIN. I probably could quote this movie because we watch it so much. Whenever he cant see the chipmunks he will ask you "whered they go", it is so cute and then gets so excited when they come back on. He LOVES it, so thank you Aunt A for that present.

The bottom picture is his growth chart on his bedroom wall. I cant believe the growth spurt he has had since we last measured him at 18 months. So I had to take a picture of it.

I cant begin to explain how amazing this little boy is and how the past two years have been so amazing, he is a true blessing to us and I thank God everyday for choosing me to be his mommy. The past year has flown by. He is talking so much and IS very bossy at times. His favorite things to say is - Stop it and loves to tell you to sit, drink, eat or anything else he wants you to do. I have no idea where he gets that bossiness from. Nathan is showing signs of potty training, he has teeteed a couple of times but I am not pushing it just yet. He will tell me if he needs to go and he has been right everytime. Although sometimes he will confuse needing to go #2 with just having gas. I think he becomes a lil more independent every day which I am not ready for. It just seems like yesterday we were living in the NICU praying that he was going to be okay. Now my baby is grown into a little boy (a handsome one at that).

Nathan Birthday Party

I dont know where to begin with this birthday story. It all started with me planning a water themed party. The plan was to have everything outside and for all that know me I plan to the extreme. So I ordered a waterslide thru walmart.com to be delivered site to store on June 27. It's estimated arrival time was at the latest date 7/25 (the day before his party). So on 7/25 I still had no slide and that was what my party was planned around so of course I go into panic mode. I called walmart.com and on 7/2 they lost my slide and no one called or emailed me. To make this story short they searched within a 150 miles of me to see if they had a slide and nothing. Everyone was sold out along with every other store around me. So of course I could not have a party with out a slide, so I rented one. The huge dolphin slide was the only one not rented. Well the day of the party finally got here and when it was time for everyone to start arriving, a bad thunderstorm came thru which had everyone inside. When the bad part finally passed we all went outside in the rain and enjoyed the water slide and the baby pool. Nathan I think had a great time and that is all that matters to me. He receive alot of presents, which I have to say he has played with most of them equally except the bubble mower. He has become attached to this thing, that is all he wants to play with outside and will let you know when it is out of bubbles. He is so funny.

Update on The Johnson Family

Ethan made it out of surgery yesterday afternoon and it went as well as they could have expected. The next 48 hours will be his most critical time. With what details I have God definitely has his hand on them. So PLEASE keep praying because they are not out of the woods yet.

Prayer Request for Ethan Matthew Johnson

I want to ask everyone to pray for Matt and Amanda Johnson and their new bundle of joy Ethan Matthew Johnson. Matt and Amanda attend my mothers church and my family has known Matt and his family since middle school years. His wife Amanda delivered Ethan Friday, only to find out that one of his heart venticules did not develop. I don’t know all the details but I know they are doing open heart surgery on him this morning. The doctors are saying he has 85% chance of recovering. Matt and Amanda are doing well considering the situation. They have a great family and have so many people behind them praying for them, so I am asking that everyone continue to keep them in your prayers. I will post once I know something new. I know that god is watching over them and will take care of them and their family.

Mr. Potato Head

We have made Mr Potato heads before but I never could get a picture of them before he would take it away from me. Well here is one of his creations, I know looks kind of funny, but look at the serious face he has making it. You know some thought went into this one.
Giving PawPaw a goodbye hug. My dad was able to stay a whole week before having to go back to the gulf. We really enjoy everyday that he gets to visit with us and I know that he hates to have to leave this little boy. He actually did give me a hint of great news. He maybe moving back here. I am just so excited.

About Nathan eye, this is what happens when you think you can jump off the top of the slide in a plastic pool. He only cried for a few seconds but then pitched a big tantrum when I told him he had to get out of the pool because he would not quit jumping off of it. I stay nervous with this little boy, but I would not have it any other way. He is his daddy made over.

We let Nathan and Mason play in the jacuzzi that daddy just built into the deck. It was great and the boys loved it. Nathan thinks it is funny to jump off the side into it, I dont think it is very funny though. It really makes me nervous how my child has no fear.

WATER TIME

Can I just say how much this boy loves the water and just being outside. He would stay outside and play with the hose pipe forever.

My GIRLS ONLY trip

At the beginning of June me and my best friend Angela took a road trip to PC Beach and celebrated Angela turning the big 29, I know she dont look it does she. We went shopping the first night (thursday) and ate at The Back Porch, we wanted to eat at margaritaville but the wait was already at 1 1/2 hour wait at 6:00. After we ate we went back to the room and got in the jacuzzi and actually made it to bed by 9:00. HEY we are mommies what did you expect. Of course, we spent all of our days baking out on the beautiful white sands. Friday night was a whole different story. Dont worry we did not get into any trouble but we had ALOT of fun. In the new Pier Park they have this bar called Tootsies which we called the "Homefield of Florida". This is where we meet a whole range of people, needless to say we did not make it back until 3:00. Yes, we were sober too, like I said we are MOMMIES. On Saturday, we went to eat at Sharkies and then went to play putt putt. It was a much needed trip but I can say I was so ready to see my boys.
