Kendall's birthday party

The pictures are all out of order, because William took pictures, and I took pictures, and I don't feel like organizing them. There. But basically, there was a beginning, a middle, and an end. Haha. Kidding. It went like this:
- pool play
- pizza
- pool play
- Happy Birthday song
- cupcakes and cake pops
- pool play
- presents
- pool play
- outdoor movie (The Descendants 2) for some
- pool play for the others
14 girls, 5 boys, and 4 adults. And in case Kendall wants to remember who was there:
- Avery C
- Avery G
- Madison
- Rylie
- Claire
- Rockie
- Layla
- Baylee
- Brookie
- Berkley
- Ariana
- Aria
- Hazel
- Kendall

- Logan
- Taylor
- Kai
- Luke
- Eli

The boys pretty much stayed away from the girls, most of the time, because girls are, you know, Ewww. And then the boys started bugging the girls and shooting them with Nerf Guns, because they secretly actually like girls. And the girls pretended to be super annoyed, but they secretly enjoyed the attention and were flattered. So yeah, typical boy/girl stuff.
I was told by multiple people that the party was epic and that the kids had a blast. Success!!!

Anniversary Date

I planned the whole day! Yes, I did!
First off, day spa at Aji Spa where William and I got an hour and a half couples massage, followed by some lunch, chilling by the pool and in the pool, sauna, and steam room.

We're not used to sitting around doing nothing, so we decided to go shopping for a little while before dinner. There was an outlet mall nearby, so we got our shopping on, sans kids. I had forgotten how much fun it is to shop.
We then got ready for dinner at Kai restaurant. Kai, meaning 'seed' in the Pima language, is the only AAA Five Diamond/Forbes Five Star restaurant in Arizona.
Someone told us that eating at Kai would ruin every dining experience we'd ever have in the future. I'll have to agree. It was the best! Someone sat us down as soon as we came in. Then 3 waiters came over and while 2 of them were placing napkins onto our lap, the 3rd one educated us on the culture of Kai, its chef, and its cuisine.
When we asked to be moved due to a really loud lady sitting at the table next to us, they were super nice and moved us to the wine room, where we had the room completely to ourselves. We decided to order the 13-courses meal: the journey. Yes, it was a ridiculous amount of food. No, I did not finish it all. But yes, I did try everything. And no, we probably won't ever go back, because it was super expensive, which is why we decided to go all out and have the full experience.

The food was super tasty, the presentation was amazing, and the service was the best I've ever experienced. The waiters presented each course in detail, including where everything came from. Like the honey that they literally cut straight out of the honeycomb actually came from one of the waiters at Kai who is a bee keeper also. Wow!

And then, when we got our car from the valet, there was a thank you card waiting for us, 2 water bottles (and not the Walmart plastic water bottles!), and a little box filled with mini muffins and honey.
5 stars on all categories. Best dining experience!
