Easter

So we did the Easter thing in the morning and then had Nate's brother Jared over for dinner that evening. Here are a few pictures from Callie's first Easter.
Here is what the Easter Bunny brought her.

The first thing Callie went for was a sucker. She stuck it in her mouth with the wrapper still on.

Cute little bunny. The wrapper is still on the sucker.

She liked to sucker better with the wrapper on.

Of course the next thing she did was dump everything out.

Easter Eggs

Last Saturday we went down to my parents house to color Easter eggs. My family is very big into coloring eggs. Here are some pictures from that night.
There was dye in any color you could want.

Here are some of the eggs.

Callie's Aunt Hannah wanted her to have her hair spiked so we did it up for the occasion. Here is Callie with Pat's Fiance Kristin.

Callie's obsession with dogs continued. Callie spent the night following Cissy around the house and Cissy spent the night trying to hide from Callie. Little kids make her a little nervous.

Here are Callie's eggs that Nate and I colored for her. Can you guess what egg Nate did?

So to show how into coloring Easter eggs my family is, I decided to display some of their Pysanky eggs. They look much cooler than the ones we did for Callie, but I was being lazy. Plus, the dye that is used for these eggs is not edible so you can't eat the eggs.

Crawling

These videos were requested by Nate's brother Chris.

Here is a video of Callie crawling

This video is to show how she has mastered crawling on the slippery wood floors.

Love of Dogs

So Callie loves dogs. She especially loves it when they are hyper, running around and barking. This past Sunday we went up to my relatives house to visit with family that was here from Minnesota and my cousin Teri brought along her dog. Callie couldn't get enough of him. She didn't want to leave. Here is a short video clip of Callie.

Some Cute Photos

I gave Callie some licorice the other day. It got really messy, but she loved it.

Nate is always saying that we should spike Callie's hair up, so last Saturday I did it just for fun. I tried to explain to Nate that this is more of a little boys hair due. I had to add the headband so she would look more like a girl.

Callie has started playing with the truck that Nate's brothers Jared and Brian got him a few years ago at Christmas. She likes to eat out of it. I put snacks for her in the back.

Nate likes to have Callie sit on it and give her rides.

Attack of the Tumbleweeds

A couple of weeks ago, on a Sunday, we had a really bad wind storm out at our house. We came home from church and found this.

Here is a view of the tumbleweeds from the basement. The window well (which is about 4 feet deep) was completely full of them.

Callie got to go on an adventure a couple of days ago and she helped her daddy clean up all of the tumbleweeds.
