Farm Country

Today we took Callie to Thanksgiving Point's Farm Country. She loves animals so I was really excited to take her there. She loved it and had a great time. Here are some videos and pictures from our adventure.
Callie loved the goats. She thought it was so cool when they would lick her hand through the fence. Here are two cute videos. After we saw the goats we went and saw some turkeys and Callie really wanted them to lick her hand. She thought that all of the animals should lick her hand. She threw a major fit when we pulled her away and told her they couldn't lick her hand. We heard turkeys can be vicious.

They have a carousel pony ride. I wasn't sure if Callie would stay on, but she did and had a good time. We let her go on this ride twice and she didn't want to get off the horse when it stopped. It was so cute. I am glad to have a little animal lover.

Our little cow girl!!! We need to get her a hat (not that she would keep it on even if we got her one)

Callie loved this horse. It was huge. It is kind of intimidating being next to a horse whose back is higher than my head. Every time this horse would stomp its foot Callie would Giggle. She was really upset at us that we would not let her touch the horse, but there was a sign that told us not to stick our hands through the fence.

Splish Splash

Callie has had a lot of fun playing in the water this summer. Last Saturday we went up to Liberty Park with some friends. They have these little streams, waterfalls and fountains all over a hill for the kids to play in. Callie loved it. She didn't mind that it was overcast and the water was cold.

This one sprayed water like our sprinklers. She thought that one was pretty fun.
If you look closely you can see Callie's little cheek. I must have put her swim diaper on backwards or something because it just kept riding up.

Playing with daddy.

Just over a week ago I took Callie to Thanksgiving Point to the Children' Discovery Gardens. It was so much fun. They had a Noah's Ark set up that squirts water and the children run around and splash in the water. Callie mostly loved to sit on this rock, but the kids are not supposed to climb on the rocks so we kept having this old lady come and tell her to get down.

Muddy Mouth

This is what happens when I try to do yard work and watch Callie at the same time. That is not chocolate around her mouth. And Nate wonders why I never get any work done while he is at work all day.

Here is Callie doing her innocent look. "Mommy, what did I do wrong?"

And I am such a good mom. I just sit there and take another picture while she eats more dirt.

She had to take a bath afterwards and then I had to clean the tub. The joy of parenting.
