Day at the Park

The other day I took Callie to the park and she decided that the wood chips needed to go in her hair. It was so cute to watch. She just kept putting more and more in because they kept on falling out.

She decided that mommy needed some in her hair also.

Las Vegas

The weekend of September 20 we drove down to Las Vegas for a short get away. We arrived Sunday evening and then left early Tuesday afternoon so we really only had one full day there, but it was fun to visit with Brandon for a little while in the evenings. Unfortunately we forgot to take a picture with him.
On Monday we spent the afternoon on the strip. We started out by visiting the Shark Tank at The Mirage. Here is Callie and me in one of the tunnels.

We then spent a couple of hours walking around. Here is a cute picture of Callie and her daddy outside the MGM.

Mommy and Callie with New York New York in the background.

I think that Callie had the most fun in this gift shop outside the Rainforest Cafe. This elephant was animated and would move and make noises. She loved it.

Daddy and Callie in the swimming pool at our hotel. Callie was a big hit at the pool. She was the only one there under about the age of 18. She got a lot of attention. It was on this trip that Callie decided that she was going to climb out of the pool and then jump into the pool into my arms. I was a little caught off guard because I wasn't sure what she was doing. I am not sure where she learned that because she has never seen anyone do it and we never taught her. She came up with it all on her own.

Update

The other day, Callie was dressed in this shirt that had elastic along the bottom. The shirt had come up to show her belly and her hair was already styled this way. I just had to take a picture of it because she looked like a little belly dancer.

Callie's first experience eating corn on the cob.

Lazy day. Callie was pretty tired so she just sat on the couch eating snack and watching TV for about 30 minutes.
She loves to put on her "pretty shoes" as we call them. At least once a day she brings me her church shoes so I can put them on her.

Nate went on a campout with the scouts and they went fishing. Nate was pretty proud of himself because he was one of only two people to catch a fish. We still haven't cooked it up yet because he caught it the day before we left to Vegas so it is still in our freezer. I am sure Nate and maybe Callie will enjoy eating it this week.
