Callie's Dance Recital - Photos

I decided that the purple, orange and green batons that the kids normally dance with just would not due for the recital, so with her teacher's permission I made new batons for all of the kids. I made 15 of them and it took a lot of time, but the end result was so cute.

Callie right before her recital started. She even got to wear a little bit of make-up.

Playing on the stage with her friends before the recital starts.

Callie was presented with a bouquet of flowers after her performance from her parents.

I just love this picture of Callie.

Callie and Jace love to hug and Jace wanted to give Callie some good luck hugs before she danced.

Callie's Dance Recital - Video

Callie's dance class had a Christmas dance recital on Wendesday. It was so cute. Here are some videos from the recital. Notice how Callie is easily distracted. If anyone is doing anything out of the ordinary she stops dancing and watches them, but for the most part she did great. I was so proud of my little dancer.

December Activities

A couple of weeks ago we took the kids to see Santa Claus and visit with their Grandpa Marx at RC Willey in Orem. Callie was a little shy, but fine. Jace did not like Santa at all.

The kids did play on this rocking horse at the store and that made Jace feel a little better about our excursion. He did not want to get off of it.

Callie's pre-school Christmas party was at our house. The kids went on a scavenger hunt to find Santa's reindeer and they had to wear these antlers so they did not scare the reindeer away. They also did a craft and played pin the hat on Frosty, but I did not get pictures of that. Callie is such a lucky girl to have all of these girls in our neighborhood. All of them are withing 8 months of age of Callie.

Thanksgiving

We had a fun-filled Thanksgiving weekend (other than when Nate and I caught a stomach bug Saturday/Sunday ) My Sister Jen flew in from Seattle and Sister Maureen and her family drove up from Southern California. It was good to be able to catch up with everyone.

This is a picture of everyone that was there for Thanksgiving. We almost had the entire family together. We are missing Jen's husband Dave who stayed in Seattle to spend Thanksgiving with his Mom and Ang's husband Aaron and sons Cole and Gage who were down in San Diego for a Soccer Tournament.

However, all of my siblings were there together so we took the opportunity to take a photo.

This is the cute edible turkey craft that Callie made at pre-school.

Callie and Jace had the opportunity to play in the leaves with their cousins at the park near Grandma and Grandpa Marx's house when we all met up on Sunday evening for dinner.

Callie loves to jump into and also be buried in the leaves.

Disney on Ice

In mid-November I took Callie to Disney on Ice with her cousins Kade and Kylee and Aunt Cindy. The kids loved it and had a great time.

Callie loved Peter Pan and the scene with the Crocodile was her favorite.

Callie really wanted some cotton candy. It ended up being pretty expensive since they only came with the mickey hats attached to them. It was the first time I spent $12 on cotton candy.

Callie also loved it when at the end all of the prince and princess came out.

Silly Kids

My kids just love to be silly sometimes and that is usually when I pull out the camera. They just make me laugh. Here are some cute photos and videos taken over the last couple of weeks.

They love playing underneath and behind things.

One of their favorite past times is jumping from the couch onto the beanbag in the basement.

Callie loves to make her brother laugh.

Halloween Festivities

It was a busy Halloween season with a lot of activities.

Callie's pre-school group took a field trip to Pumpkin Land. It was really fun. There was a lot of pumpkins, a pumpkin patch, a corn maze, a playground, animals and many picture taking opportunities.

Here is Callie with a couple of her friends waiting to enter Pumpkin Land.

The whole pre-school group that came. We were only missing 2 little girls. There are 10 girls and 1 boy. Poor Canton, he is usually the only boy because we have a lot more girls in this age group in our neighborhood.

Callie wanted to be a witch again this year and she had many opportunities to wear her costume. The Tuesday before Halloween she was able to dress-up for her dance class.

Here is Callie's dance class. I think everyone was there this day.

The Friday right before Halloween we had our ward "Chili Cook-Off and Trunk-or-Treat party" and the kids dressed up. Here is Callie again in her costume.

Callie and Jace together. Jace was a "Ken Doll" for Halloween.

Isn't he handsome? I had a very difficult time trying to get his hair to stay parted to the side. I tried all sorts of gels and hairspray.

We decided to hand out cookies and cider on Halloween night so on Sunday Callie was a great help in making all of the Sugar Cookies.

Sunday evening we went down to Grandma and Grandpa Marx's house for a Halloween Party. Here are Callie and Jace with all of their cousins that are in Utah.

So we totally forgot to bring Callie's dress for her costume, but at least all of her under clothes were black so it still worked.

On Monday morning Callie had a Halloween party with all of her pre-school friends and unfortunately I did not get any pictures of that. After we came home for some lunch we took off again to go Trick-or-Treating at Nate's work. Jace loved it. He would just keep grabbing handfuls of candy and since he was so cute people just kept offering him more. He came home with a lot of candy.

After taking a late afternoon nap, it was time to go out trick-or-treating again.

So I set-up the Cookies, Cider, and candy in the garage. I put up sheets so you couldn't see into our messy garage and then had a space heater out there to keep us warm. I think I want to do this every year. It was much better then having to get up and answer the door all of the time and it gave us a chance to visit with our friends. Next year I think I want to have fog, music, and strobe lights.

Here are the pumpkins we carved this year.

It was a fun Halloween!!!
