Baby Cereal

Jace got to have his first experience with baby cereal and he absolutely loved it. He ate everything that I made so I made him more and he ate all of that. He has always loved to watch people eat and tries to grab their food. It is funny to watch him because he will just go into this trance watching people eat and he will even start smacking his lips.
Jace loved eating, but too bad his tummy did not agree. I fed him cereal 2 nights in a row and he hardly slept either of those night due to an upset tummy. Poor kid. He may just have to wait a while longer to enjoy solid food.

Christmas

It was so much fun preparing for Christmas this year. This is the first year that Callie was actually in to the whole Santa thing. When she would see something that she liked at the store I would say "maybe Santa will bring you one." Then after hearing that so much she would start to say it on her own. Everything that she wanted from the store she would hold it up and say "Mom, Santa get me this." It was pretty cute.
Nate and I did pretty good for our first year. Callie was asleep by 9:30pm and I was in bed by 11:00pm. I was actually finished with everything by 10:30, but had misplaced my camera so that took some time.

Santa brought Callie a bike and Jace a set of 6 soft top cars along with a few other small gifts for each.

Nate did his own little Christmas in the basement. We had this horse and carriage in our front yard and he brought it inside into the basement to pile presents on (all the ones he bought).

Nate got the kids a little camping chair. Jace looked so grown-up sitting in it I just had to take a picture.

Nate got Callie this sleeping bag so we can go camping when it gets warm.

Here is our disaster of a house after only opening about 1/4 of the gifts. Callie probably had about 30 presents to open. She loved every minute of it. It was a great Christmas.

Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve this year we went down to my parents house to celebrate. We ate lots of food and sat around and visited with one another. My sister Jen and her husband Dave came in town for Christmas. It was great to be able to celebrate with them. I feel bad that I did not really get any pictures of them while they were here.

We had to cut out early to get kiddies to bed so Santa could bring their presents so we missed most of the festivities. While growing up it we had a tradition of opening one gift on Christmas Eve and it was usually a pair of pajamas. This is a tradition that I have carried on to my little family. The picture below is of Callie after she opened up her Christmas pajamas.

Here are my two adorable children dressed in their Christmas pajamas right before we headed home for the night.
