So I thought I would give a little update on what the kids are doing/accomplishing/etc.
Jace:
* Jace is just over 8 months old and for about a month now has been wearing 12 month size sleepers because he is too tall to fit in the 9 month size.
* He is at the beginning stages of learning to crawl where he leans forward from a sitting position and gets on his hands and knees. This is how he gets around. He has never been a big roller and never used rolling to get from place to place, but I have seen him slowly move across the room by leaning forward, scooting on his bum a little and then sitting back down and repeating the process.
* Jace is already trying to pull himself up to a standing position. He usually only gets as far as onto his knees. He doesn't quite have the balance to get to a standing position, but that doesn't stop him from trying.
* He is starting to say mama and baba. He says mama when he wants me, but also says it at other times so I am not positive he knows what it means, but I like to pretend that he does.
* I can get him to drink a bottle sometimes when we are out and about, but he usually only drinks 2 oz or so, just enough to tied him over. He very rarely will take a bottle while we are at home.
* Still no teeth yet. He is going to be a late teether I think.
Callie:
* Callie is still taking dance and she loves it. Each night just before bedtime she is usually dancing around the living room.
* Her vocabulary is growing everyday and she has a little attitude. For example here is something that happened a few days ago:
We had just went to Burger King so Callie was holding her drink in her lap. I was stopped at a stoplight and then started driving which caused her drink to splash. She then proceded to yell at me, "Mommy, you spilled my drink. You are not supposed to do that. Don't do it again." I just had to laugh.
* Nate likes to tease her a lot and she always says, "Mommy, Daddy is teasing me. He is silly."
* She also says "dangit" a lot, which unfortunately she learned from me. But then again, if that is the worst thing I say then I can't be doing to badly. Atleast she is not swearing.
* Like all little kids, she starts to yell and cry when she can't get something to work the way she wants it to. I have tried to work with her on this and help her express her emotion without crying and so now half of the time instead of crying she says, "Mommy, this is frustrating me."
