My brother-in-law Dave organized an event he deemed as Hair Awareness (Hairwearness) Weekend. In support of my sister Jen who was diagnosed with breast cancer and is in the process of chemo treatments we wore a wig for a day this past weekend, took pictures, and posted it on Jen's page on Facebook. Dave wanted to "help Jen celebrate the beauty in life that goes beyond hair." It was such a great idea and we had a lot of fun doing it. Here are some pictures from this weekend.
Callie wanted to try out being a red-head and she looked absolutely beautiful.

I chose to sport a blue wig on Friday and got weird looks and stares from stranger and a lot of questions from those who knew me. Nate and I went on a date that night to the see Hunger Games and I went with my wig looking like a weirdo from "The Capital." I saw people whispering and the little girls who were sitting behind us were trying to take my picture. I just had to laugh and had such a good time. People are so judgemental sometimes.
Me and my favorite little girl.
Jace is afraid of wigs (of him wearing them, not others wearing them) so we had a hard time getting him to try one on to get a picture. My sister Cindy came over Friday evening to watch our kids while Nate and I went out and we were able to get Jace to keep Cindy's wig on long enough to take this picture.
Nate didn't do his wig day until Easter Sunday. And no he didn't wear it to church although that would have been hilarious. Nate's brother Jared brought the wig up with him to Easter dinner after church.
