We decided to give soccer another try this year. I was hoping now that Jaxson is a little older he might like it more, I was wrong. I can't say this soccer thing has been a good experience but we've learned some things. Jaxson played a lot of goalie and really did pretty well. The best part was that he got to hang out more with one of his good friends Elijah.

Goodbye to Kindergarten
I really can't believe we're already done with Kindergarten. The year has flown by and it's been such a great experience for Jaxson.
We have LOVED Mrs. O'Brien! She has been such a great teacher for Jaxson and knew exactly how to work with him. We are going to miss her!
How could I not post this? This picture will always make me laugh! Funny enough this is about what his school pictures looked like at the beginning of the year.
His class had a full time aide Ms. Kreszyn, who was also awesome!
The last day of school. As much as he enjoyed school he was super excited about summer vacation! And I'm super excited that we won't have our stressful morning rush to get out the door for a while! Bring on summer!

Snipets of May
May finally came and so did spring. We really tried to soak up the short lived Michigan spring. Keith took Jaxson on the Stake's annual Father and Son campout and they had a great time.
Keith and Jaxson have been enjoying some nerf wars.
Jaxson always wants to get in full camo gear
We sure love our Paisley girl
Our Kennadie's personality is really coming out and she's got quite a lot of spunk in her! She's always coming up with something new and crazy.

New Jersey/Philly
After our few adventurous days in DC we headed over to Vineland NJ to visit some of our best friends the Wray and Huish families. We had a blast catching up with these amazing people!
I was awful about taking pictures there but I did snatch this cute one with the Wray's triplets. These little miracles were born a few days before Christmas and are named Hope, Tate and Max. We are so happy for the Wray family.
On our way home we drove through Philadelphia, so of course we had to make a stop to take in a little more history by visiting the Liberty Bell. I love that my Kenna is always willing to pose for a picture for me.
Keith's must do in Philly was to run the Rocky steps. Keith is a huge Rocky fan!
Dream fulfilled! Keith and the kids ran up those steps like champs!

National Zoo
On our last day, which was only going to be a half day, we decided to do something a little more kid friendly. We spent the morning at the National Zoo and had a great time.
Seeing the gorillas be fed,
and watching some playful otters.
But our favorite was probably the Giant Pandas.
They were amazing and they even had a 1 year old baby out in the exhibit.
Kenna also loved the tigers. It was a very hot and crowded day but we all had a great time. The kids were so worn out from the adventure that they slept through most of our 2 hour drive to New Jersey.

DC Trip: Day 2
On our second day in DC we started in the Air & Space Museum. We saw lots of cool displays, planes and spaceships.
Jaxson was able to participate in one of the kid shows and got to dress up like an astronut.
He thought it was awesome!
Overall, the kids really like this museum.
Next we headed over to the Capitol building.
Where we met a group of Chinese tourists who really liked taking pictures with our family, poor Jaxson. Then, we went to the Botanical Gardens, which were amazing and beautiful. It was a nice break from the heat and crowds.
The gardens were beautiful and I espeically loved seeing a wide range of different flowers.
Jaxson liked the rainforest room.
Jaxson wanted his picture taken like this,he thought it was so funny!
While waiting for our time to go up in the Washington Memorial we went to the backside of the White House.
Someone volunteered to take a picture of all of us but they pretty much cut Keilie out.
At the end of our day we went up in the Washington Monument which was very impressive.

DC Trip: Day 1
We're hoping our time in the east is starting to come to an end. This is a bittersweet thought, because of this we decided to use some of our remaining vacation time to explore the east. At the end of May we ventured over to Washington DC. We were very lucky that my cousin, Brian, who's doing his residency in DC was willing to let us bombard him for a couple of days. We had such a great time catching up with him!
skeletons,
and the mummies.
Do you think we look like crazy tourists?!
Washington Monument
When we tried to walk by the White House everything was blocked off because someone was leaving by helicopter.Jaxson is really into the bunny ears thing, it's hilarious. :)
Vietnam Veterans Memorial
Lincoln Memorial
This is what the girls thought of Lincoln,
and this is our Jaxson at his best.
Our three cuties
the Jefferson Memorial
It was a hot and busy day, filled with lots of walking but we loved it. The kids did well overall and Keith and I really enjoyed seeing the sites.
