Aussie Friends

Even though we go many months between visits with our friends the Halls, it never feels like that when they are here. Our amazing cupcake bakers. They hope to one day open a cupcake shop together.
Carrie and I were able to visit and have lunch together at Gardner Village in celebration of our summer birthdays. Sometimes you have friends that are a lot like you and sometimes you have friends that are totally different from you. Both are important, but Carrie and I are like soul sisters. We are similar in our deep commitments to nourish our minds, bodies, and spirits and in our desire for order and organization, with fun mixed in. We had to laugh when we order the same things off the menu and ate or didn't eat the same things off our plates for the same reasons. I love her very much, admire all that she does to care for those around her and am so glad we get to share our lives together, even from opposite sites of the world.
Aubrey and Aubrye across the street from the temple.
Having fun on a rope swing ride at the park.

In front of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple in South Jordan. We have the same picture of the two of them in front of the Sydney Australia Temple.
More fun with water balloons.
These Aubrey-ye's (and their Moms) have been friends since they were tiny tots. They are such good friends and examples to each other, and as families, we love them both as our own.

Ragnar-Utah

The Wasatch Back 200 mile running relay from Logan to Park City is here again. I was super excited to be in the same van as my bub and closest friends this year, instead of with people I didn't know. Unfortunately, I got a bad cold the week of the race and had no voice. Like seriously - No Voice. I would have been okay having no voice last year, but it was really hard on me this year.

I'm a Talker. I like to communicate. I like to chit chat and encourage others along the course. I like to scream for my team mates when they run. I like to be part of the conversation, but nope, not this year. I would ring a cow bell for everyone to look if I really wanted to say something. Other than that, I was a quiet runner, but we still had a great time together. Nothing beats good company when your sweaty, hot, tired, grumpy, have to go to the bathroom, or have to go run for the 3rd time in 24 hours. Grandma and Papa brought the girls up to Park City at the end. They all look a lot more lively than we do.
Here's Mike giving Robert water on his 1st run. I didn't get many pictures on my camera, so I may have to post more from our 'Sole Survivors' team slide show later.
Here I am passing off to Amy after my night run. It was my favorite.
Looking pretty happy to have finished my 7 miler, I just can't tell you about it.

Lindsay-Tap Star

Lindsay and Emily had their Spring Dance Performance tonight. Robert and I are still off running, so Papa and Grandma helped get them ready and were able to spend the evening with them. We soooo appreciate them coming up to stay with the girls and were glad to hear how much they enjoyed the show. The studio the girls attend is very good and they create high quality dancers and performances.
Lindz getting ready for her number. It just so happened that her costume was her favorite color. Papa called them the 'Purple Tappers'. She looks beuatiful! Here she is during her number. She is in the top level for Tap and really likes it.
Good job babe!

Emi-Ballet Princess

Both the girls loved their costumes for this performance. They are fitting for their personalities and dance styles. Thanks to Grandma, Papa, Aubrey, and Kayla for helping them get ready. They look great! Em was very glad Papa and Grandma Miller could be there and see her dance.
Here she is with her teacher, Ms. Katie. She so looks up to Ms. Katie and often says she wishes she lived in our neighborhood to she could ride to and from ballet class with her.

Emi has a natural talent for dance, especially ballet, and can't imagine her life without Dance.
You're awesome Em!

Poetry Program

Emi had a poetry program at school today. They have memorized a ton of poems this year and wnated to share them with parents. Robert and I are off running the Wasatch Back Ragnar, so Papa and Grandma Millerwere able to go. They are so supportive of the kids in all of their activities and Emi was very glad to have them meet her teacher and listen to their program. Here's Emi with her 1st grade teacher Mrs. Rees. She has loved being in her class and I know Mrs. has loved having Emily.

Fancy Fingers

Aubrey got some cool nail polish colors for her birthday. The girls love to paint each others fingers and toes. Here's some of Brenna's fancy fingers.
