In our family, we defintely believe in miracles. Years ago we started recording tender mercies and ways we saw God's hand in our lives, and that act alone has helped us to be more aware and better recognize the miracles that surrounds us.
When Lindsay moved from the Missouri St. Louis Mission to the Brazil Sao Paulo South Mission, she accidently left her camera in car that drove her to the airport. Her camera was pretty important to her, as it was her way to document all of the experiences she was having, and most importantly the people she was meeting.
When one of her companions returned home from St. Louis, she came to visit us and brought Lindsay's camera. I knew it would mean a lot to Lindz to have it, so I packaged it up with some new fuzzy socks and gifts from her Aunt Katherine and Uncle Mike and shipped it off to her. That was August of 2021. I was able to follow the tracking to see the package arrive in Brazil customs on September 13th. It stopped there. No further inforamtion, no tracking progress, no updates.
Lindsay return home from Brazil in November, never receiving her camera. I just recently threw away the tracking receipt, as I no longer needed it adding clutter to my already full junk drawer.
Then today.......BOOM. UPS driver leaves this well worn and well traveled package on our front porch. Yes, we do believe in miracles. We know without a shadow of a doubt that God is aware of us individually and that He is in the details of our lives. He showers our lives with small tender mercies that remind us of His goodness and love, and the pictures on this camera will take on even greater meaning now.
