Monster Jam

It was date night for Gpa & Ikaika.  A drive in the convertible with the top down, nuggies from McDonalds, and......

Monster Truck Jam at Rice Eccles Stadium.  Defintely 3 of Ikaika's favorite things.

Oh, and churros.

Robert is a Monster Jam newbie, but Ikaika was able to fill him in on the names of all the trucks and some of the tricks they can do. Bummer that Megalodon was at another race that night, but atleast Gravedigger was there.

Final Fracture Appt.

Our favorite elevator at Primary Childrens.  I think we have a whole album of pics from this elevator, but today we are headed back to Orthopedics instead of Rheumatology.

Dr. Ford has not been B's absolute favorite. He told us last time that he likes to be a dream crusher, and just not a great fit personality wise for her, but I'm sure he's good at what he does.

Today he gave her good news, that her elbow is healing great, and she has no restrictions on using it. Done with this wing of Primary's for awhile.

Stopped by to see some of our happy friends on the 2nd floor on our way out, and of course the racoons in the wall mural.  We've made a lot of friends here over the past 18 months, some real & some not.

Easter Preparations

Easter has always been a special holiday for us because of the spiritual ramifications that came from Christ's Atonement in the Garden of Gethsemane, His death on the cross, and His miraclous Resurection that provides life after death to all that ever lived.

It is a holiday that we try to prepare for similar to Christmas, by studying about the Savior and especially the last week of His life.  From the Passover to Palm Sunday, to implementing the Sacrament in the Upper Room with His apostles, to His infinite Atonement, death on the cross, and triumphant Resurrection.  So much to ponder on.  So much to feel and understand.

Easter is especially significant to us this year, as we have experienced death, loss, and disappointment so close to our hearts these past few months. Todays devotional was a tender mercy that lifted our hearts and spirits on an particularly difficult day.

Sunday Zooms

We have loved our Sunday Zooms this year.  We try to get on at 4:00 or 8:30 pm and anyone that is availlable joins in.  We love hearing about everyone's Sabbath and we have a weekly schedule of a  certain talk or 2 from the prevoius General Conferemce that we discuss.

Sometimes we cry together, sometimes we laugh together, and somehow tonight we ended up sing Barry Manilow songs together.  I love how the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings hope, light, joy, goodness, and to each of us and unifies us as an eternal family.
