Easter Traditions

It wouldn't be Easter without David & Melissa
(people taking on new roles this year)

Without a big ham dinner
(with a kids table now)
And without going to the cemetery
(in the frig cold)

We love Easter, and with the passing of Papa last month, it has meant even more to us this year.
As does this painting that Carrie Hall made for us after Dan's passing.
Robert put it up in his office and it is such a wonderful reminder of the eternal gift of
Christ's Ressurection.

Tammy

One of the many ways that I know the Lord is mindful of me individually, is by the many people He has placed on my path to lift, guide, and add joy & peaceto my life.  Tammy is one of those people.
She was my YW leader when I was a laurel (age16-18)

She was living a crazy life with 4 kids, running her own performing group business, and doing it pretty much without her husband, Curt, who was in his 4-year medical residency at USC.

She and her sweet family were such a blessing to me and to Robert, and I hope we were a blessing to them as well (we took it as a good sign when they decided to name their 5th child Jenna)

We have been friends since my youth and always try to connect when we can.  She and Curt will be moving to Montana at the end of June to serve as Mission Leaders for the Montana Missoula Mission, so I want to get in as many visits in as I can before they leave.
Love you friend!

Coach Kayla

Kayla was asked to be an Assistant Coach for Brighton Girls Lacrosse this year.
Brighton is one of the best programs in the state run by Melissa Nash, who was Brenna's club coach and is literally the best of the best.  She runs a GREAT program from K-12 and has worked tirelessly to provide the girls in her program with the very best athletic facilities and coaching staff.
Kayla is part of that amazing coaching staff.

Though we miss watching her play, it was so fun to see her coaching on the sideline.

She truly loves the sport and hopes to always be a part of it.

After a JV win over Maple Mountain, we grabbed a quick burrito at Lone Star Taqueria and then she headed back for the next game.  So proud of you Kay!

All of the local mascots came out to celebrate with Buster

Cosmo was our Fav

Mascots - BYU, SUU, Jazz, UVU, Real & UofU

We all got to see a fav Jazz player - Lauri Markkanen

Mascots would throw small basketball or shirts into the stands during time out, and I snagged one of those for Kekoa.

Bingham @ Olympus

As we're about to turn into the Olympus High School Stadium parking lot, we see Tate Allen's Skyline lacrosse banner hanging from the street light.  Tate could not be any closer to their rival teams school without being on their campus.  Super funny.
Tate moved from Bingham after Sophomore year, and though he & B connect periodically, it sure would have been fun to have him at Bingham all 3 years.

Back to the game.  Olympus Lacrosse-both Boys & Girls is Amazing. They have a super strong youth program and this year will be sendind 5 of their players to play Division 1 lacrosse. They are the GOATS of lacrosse around here, and Brenna was super excited to play against such great players.

She spent most of the game face guarding #5 Hazel Baker, who she adores, and is headed to play at Oregon next year.

She also did the draw against #3 Hannah Nelson who she is hoping to play with at BYU next year.

Sweet Afton came to cheer Brenna and the team on,
No one cared that we got smoked, they beat everyone they play by 10+,
but it was a super fun game to watch.

As always, time to reconnect with friends after the game.

These girls all played in the Bingham Youth program together and were coached by George Grizzle.
So awesome to have so many of them together tonight and see how far they have cone over the past 5 years.  We will always be grateful to George and Stan for all of the time they spent coaching B along the way.  They are still some of her biggest fans.

Wasami
The girls have been friends for a long time and have such great love and admiration for each other.

Wasami, Anton & B
So many great memories with these 3.
So grateful for the amazing people that lacrosse has brought into our lives.
