Christmas vacation!

Merry Christmas - a little late!
We had a wonderful vacation - it was so nice to get away!
First, we went to Vegas. It was the twins first road trip - and surprisingly, it was not too bad. They slept the first half, then we got out to eat dinner to give us a break from the car, then the Little Mermaid saved our sanity until we could see Vegas lights. This is where Kennedy cried on and off until reaching Britni's home, but it was better than crying the whole time! While in Vegas, we went to two Christmas parties and hung out a lot with Brit's family and friends. We opened presents on Christmas Eve with Britni's extended family, and laughed at how much the girls loved the wrapping paper. Then we had Christmas morning with the immediate family. It was nice to be around the girls' little nephews and niece - as it is always fun to watch kids open presents.

Then Christmas evening, we packed up and flew to Jeremy's family in California. When we got there the whole family was ready to welcome us, and we ate dinner, and opened even more presents! (The girl's are already spoiled!) We had fun in Sacramento spending time with family, shopping for all the sales, and eating some great sushi! We also looked for homes in the Fair Oaks area. Eek! They sure are pricey! But, we know that we will end up where we need to be - so we are hanging onto faith.
Check out our pictures from some of the highlights of our vacation!

And last but not least....
who said drinking made you act weird? All this took was a couple of all nighters from the girls and "ta dah", you get this ...... (Courtesy of my sister-in-law, Trish)
*Can't figure out how to turn it - so turn head sideways and enjoy!*

Some down, some to go......

7 Down, 1 To Go......

Last night, at midnight, was Jeremy's final day of classes for the Fall Semester. Can I get a "Hallelujah?" This semester has pretty much been like accomplishing the impossible: Jeremy has had to juggle 15 credit hours of school, working full-time, and being my relief system for the twins. Only time will tell how well he has done, but at this point we are like "Hey, we are not trying to get into graduate school here, SO passing is passing, right?" Also, can I just say that ever since UVSC has decided to become Utah Valley University, they have gone way over the top. I mean Jeremy literally had to write over 100 pages of "busy" work in just one of his 5 classes - NOT to mention a 20 page and 15 page paper. I mean really, a 20 page paper? I was an English major at BYU, and never did I have to tackle a 20 page paper. Jer is pretty funny when you bring it up and says, "All I want to do is sit in an office where people are outside swinging hammers, not become a novelist." (His major is Technology/Construction Management) Anyways, 7 semesters are now behind us, with only 1 more to go!!!

10 Down, 15 To Go......

On a little "lighter" note, Jeremy and I are in a weight loss competition (no pun intended). Pretty much, it comes down to this: We are going on a cruise in February and do not want to scare everyone in the Bahamas with our fat, white, American bodies. I won't get into my statistics (why do guys lose weight SOOOO much easier then women do?), but Jer has lost 10 pounds already! Granted he did refuse to use the bathroom for a full day and drank 4 pounds of water before our weigh in, but he does look thinner. Which brings me to the pictures.... he he he...
He is going to kill me, but here are the hilarious "before" photos:

*** PLEASE NOTE: THIS WAS NOT THE ORIGINAL PHOTO POSTED FOR THIS SECTION. JEREMY HAS REMOVED IT. IF YOU WERE ONE OF THE FEW ABLE TO SEE IT, THEN CONSIDER YOURSELF LUCKY (OR UNLUCKY, HOWEVER YOU WANT TO LOOK AT IT)***

I can only hope these make you laugh as hard as I do.

Keep up the good work Jer, only 15 more pounds to go...

The Three Little Elves

Britni and Bailey

Brit dressed up the girls for their first ward Christmas party. She forced me to wear my green shirt, and said that I looked good in it. (At the party she informed me that I looked like a GAY GREEN ELF!!!)

We have offically joined the blogger world!

Yes, yes.... what you all have heard is true. We broke down and started a blog. Not because you care what we have to say, but because you all want to see our cute children, right? Well here is a quick break down of what is happening with the little ones. Last week both girls learned how to bounce in their jumper (Kennedy a couple of days before Bailey), but the most exciting news of them all is that on the 28th, Miss Bailey learned how to crawl! We can't say that she has mastered maneuvering around on the hardwood floor, but she surely tries. And, we have attached a video for your viewing pleasure....
