Clifford!

One of the great things about Kansas City is there are A LOT of kid and family activities and many of them are free! On Tuesday we took advantage of a free exhibit at the Crown Center downtown. Apparently their exhibit area changes several times a year and right now they have a play area dedicated to Clifford the Big Red Dog! Ridley loves this show and was thrilled with this exhibit. They had a play restaurant, post office, art area and, of course, her favorite, a music stage! We had a ball with our new friend Sutton and her mommy Renee. Afterward, we went to Fritz's for lunch where they drop your food off by train! The girls both thought that was pretty cool!
On the baby front we're just waiting now. I saw my doctor yesterday and am pretty much at status quo so I really feel like I'll go past my due date and be induced the following week but we'll see. Anything could happen! We'll be sure to let everyone know once it does!
Here are some pictures of our visit to see Clifford, enjoy!

Grandpa Steve Visits!

My dad came this past weekend to see our new house for the first time and visit with us, well his granddaughter really. It's been nice being closer to him, we've seen him more in the past 6 weeks than we have total in recent years! Ridley just loves both of her grandpa's and they both spoil her rotten with their attention. We had a fun weekend eating barbecue, going to the pool and sightseeing around KC (thanks cousin Jerry for the tour!). Here are some pics from the weekend!

Family Pic, probably one of our last as a family of three!

I couldn't believe my dad got up in Ridley's playhouse! I don't remember him ever doing that with us when we were kids! Isn't it funny what your parents will do for their grandkids now that they have time to slow down and enjoy them!

Our little performer and 37 weeks!

Ridley has become quite the performer in recent months. She memorizes songs from the radio or that she sees in shows and then surprises us by belting out whole refrains from them. It seems she is partial to Country music, or maybe it's just that is what Bill and I listen to most. Recently I rented an Elmo DVD from the library that consisted of Elmo singing country songs (yes, it wastorture to listen to) and Ridley loved it! She got this song from there. Notice the yellow crayon is her guitar or "bitar" as she calls it. Maybe we need to spring for a play guitar??? No matter how hard I tried I could not get the video to flip so you'll have to watch it sideways, but you get the idea!

In other news I'm now 37 weeks along. I really feel like this baby is going to hold out to the bitter end! That is actually fine with me since Bill has decided that now is a good time to start traveling for work! He's been in St. Louis and Columbia, SC in the past 3 days and is headed to Atlanta next week for 2 nights. Pray nothing happens while he's gone! I'm feeling pretty good though. My feet and ankles have decided that they are pregnant too so that is a little uncomfortable. The only thing I can wear semi-comfortably on my feet is flip-flops. My toes look and feel like little sausages! Here is a picture to show you just how lovely they look! My old ankles were nothing spectacular but I'd take them back in a heartbeat! Ridley and I have been spending lots of time at the pool so I just try to sit in the water with my feet up but I end up chasing her around the pool most of the day. Oh well, the water feels good anyway! That's all for now, hope y'all are doing well.
