What fun! We really had a great Christmas filled with family, food, memories, gifts, and of course more food. Christmas is always fun but having a little one puts things in a whole new light. There are so many traditions you want to pass on and so many things to get done and little Klayton just wants to run around. I guess in the grand scheme of things, he truly knows what this is all about, enjoying and cherishing each minute, regardless of everything on a to do list. This Christmas was also extra special because I feel like we had great visits and time set aside for both Kevin's family and my family. I can't begin to share all of the stories from the past 2 weeks but I'll share a few.
We started with Christmas at our house. Klayton helped unwrap his presents and stayed up way too late. You can tell how excited he was about the whole process...
He did sit down a for a few candid shots.
Here he is with Aunt Laura
He also was right in the middle of the action with his daddy!
But when he opened his new lawnmower I thought he would never stop.
Then we proceeded on to Hallettsville. Unfortunately it was raining so he had to spend most of the day inside and he hadn't slept very long so Christmas Eve was kind of a long day. He especially didn't want to cooperate during Church but we survived and Klayton went to bed early missing most of his present but we tried to save them for Christmas morning. He enjoyed opening his stocking with his cousins.
Then Grandpa showed him around the animals.
It was really cold
And then it was on to "the hill" with all of my cousins.
His favorite part was playing on the trampoline. A little scary for Mom!
But when all was said and done and we were back at home. He just wanted to play with his measuring cups, the ladder, and the pepper shaker. Go figure!
