Summer Fun

We have had a lot going on the last 2 weeks so I should have a ton of pictures to show you what we have been doing, but I have reverted to my old bad habits of not taking pictures. So Tammy and James's wonderful wedding last weekend, yes, I have no pictures. We had a great time and so did Klayton. He ran around the hall like he had known everyone for years. He played with Grandma and Grandpa and even threw a fit one time when I took him away from them. But no I don't have any pictures. Maybe some one will share theirs with them and I can add them to a blog later.
So the other weekends in May... There was a bachelorette party for Tammy (what fun!), a fishing trip for Kevin, and then this weekend we spent playing. The playing started on Thurs when I took Klayton to the pool. I kept telling him we were going to play in the water and he kept saying "dada." I would say no Daddy is working. But he kept repeating it. Then when we went outside he kept saying boat and pointing at my car and again "Dada." It took me a little while but I think I figured it out. I guess he assumed that since we were going to the water we were taking the boat and he knew I couldn't do that by myself. I had to tell him we were just going to the pool but what a smart little boy :) He is definitely turning into a toddler because he threw a fit when I told him we were going swimming and not playing on the slide that was close by, but we made it and he soon joined me in the pool. In our subdivision we have a great pool for kids. It has a beach entry so the kids can walk in.

So we started walking around and kicking water. Doesn't he look like such a big boy? Sometimes it is just surreal.

Then I went a little deeper and Klayton followed. Only to fall down in the water and get picked up laughing the whole time. He would sit on the side of the pool and wait for me to pull him in. A couple of times he stepped right off the side into the water as if he was stepping on dry land. A little scary for me but it didn't phase him in the least. He had a great time chasing after his squirt toys and splashing in the water. Now both of us can't wait to go back.

Then on Friday we had a playdate with Anneliese at the playground. Once again I forgot my camera but the two had a great time chasing each other and sliding down the slides and getting run over by the big kids. Well not literally but kids these days! Thanks for the playdate Anneliese, let's do it again real soon.

Next weekend is another fishing/camping trip and now we have skiis so I can't wait to try them out (I found them at a garage sale, yes, I am a little cheap!)

One more picture to share of Klayton pretending to be a big boy. One of his daily things that makes mommy and grandma laugh (thanks for the picture grandma!)
