Happy birthday, Jackson!

Happy happy birthday to our baby! I can't believe our baby is 4! Time really does go by quickly when raising little ones.

My Mom's doctors discovered that she has kidney cancer. Luckily it is just in her left kidney and they scheduled a surgery to remove it. I flew out for the surgery and stayed with my friend Megan since her house was the closest to the hospital in Springfield. It was nice to be able to be there. I got to hang out a ton at the hospital and help my mom for her first day home. I got to see my brother-in-law's new meat shop that happens to be in the old Papa Murphys building that I was an assistant manager in. (It looks so much more awesome now! He did a great job) I also got to have a few dinners with family and friends. It was a hard, exhausting trip, but worth it. Mom is now healing nicely and the doctor's expect her to be just fine.

Better late than never, right? I am such a bad blogger, but I really need to do some catching up because this is my family journal! We celebrated Christmas Eve, Eve at Grandma's because Mike and I both had to work Christmas Eve. (I had to go back to work and am working nights at Target Bleh)
We always have so much fun being with the family and enacting the Nativity. Mike's dad had just had knee surgery so he had Mike read from the book of Luke. We watched a bunch of the Church videos #sharethegift. They were all amazing, especially the largest live nativity ever done that Provo pulled off this year. Beautiful

 Thanksgiving with the Stokers is always a blast! Ryan and Jayme came up for the week. It was amazing! Luckily we got to have them at our house for a couple days too.
