facts about graduation:
- those hats don't look good on anyone
- we lucked out with great weather
- president uchtdorf is so funny
- we actually still have a spring term to finish
thank you so much
for spoiling us, traveling to see us walk across the stage, taking us out to dinner, and being there.

lakers
we went to see nate's boys beat the jazz this weekend. it was a really fun game, and of course we arrived for a 7:30 game at 4:30 to be the first in line to watch warm-ups. this is what you do when your husband lives and breathes espn. nate scouted out super close seats for the last 6 minutes of the game...at least we can pretend to be high rollers.

distractions can be good...sometimes..
ffffffinals are here. i have found my corner in the library. i am trying to write about my thoughts on transcendental literature. but, this game is winning my attention. it's called escapa! play it here
nate's record is something like 17 seconds. i can't get past 11 seconds. try it!

bon anniversaire!
i've said it once, and i'll say it again: my mom rocks.
happy birthday mother dearest.
you're still just as charming as you were here:

shout it from the rooftops
nate says the last day of classes is no big deal, but i say HELLLLO? i finished two 10+ page papers, had 4 class parties, and said goodbye to herman melville forever -- all in the course of 48 hours. obviously, this is a big deal. no more classes!
it's rainy here, but i couldn't be happier because it reminds me of this place...

to celebrate the happy occasion, i have been a complete sloth. i possibly spent hours watching reality tv, browsing blogs, lounging around, and peeking at anthropologie.com. possibly.13 April 2009
sushi

confession: i had never tried sushi before this weekend.
i was copycat from a young age. if my brother didn't like nuts or raisins, i didn't either. if he didn't like sushi (before he lived in japan, that is), i didn't either. cop-out.
sushi is trendy, too. it's like ipods three years ago, organic grocery stores, or going green. but i secretly wanted in on the trend. so we went. with seasoned vets, of course -- marcus and megan.
and i liked it. even though i did the baby stuff, like deep-fried on the outside, i liked it a lot.
the fish eggs weren't as bad as i thought. i think we'll be going back soon...

skiing is what my family does. since my little brother chandler lost his leg, skiing has been his main sport. he is so much faster than me! this day ended in a concussion...and luckily, he was fine. but seriously, this kid is good.
