We actually had a long Memorial Day Weekend, so we decided to go to Savannah, Georgia for a night. Savannah is a beautiful and interesting city, which reminds me of Charleston. We stayed on the Savannah River in the historical downtown district...it was a great location!! We enjoyed the afternoon and evening walking along the river, listening to music, having drinks and finally some great seafood. The next day we toured around Savannah on a trolley car, and learned quite a bit about the city. The houses and parks were so beautiful and so well kept. We decided to grab some lunch from the Six Pence Pub, which was actually in a scene of a Julia Robert's movie, and had a picnic at the beautiful Forsyth Park. Elizabeth was such a trooper, but was SO exhausted by the end of lunch that we decided to head back to Charleston. We spent the rest of the weekend outside doing yard work, and then headed to our friend's beach house on Isle of Palms for Memorial Day. It was a great weekend and Elizabeth is looking forward to spending the summer in the water...either at a pool or the beach.
But, of course the fun had to end and she was so upset that she just sat down and pouted till Daddy gave her a talk!
