What a busy, but very fun week!!!

We have started to clean out one of the guest rooms to get ready for the nursery.  I have been storing some toys in this room temporarily, and Elizabeth thinks it is another one of her play rooms.  HaHa...wonder what she is going to think when we make it a baby room soon!  She also loves to make herself a bed on the floor when she gets tired and pretend she is going to sleep.  As you can see, Nathan loves to join her in this skit :)

One of our big activities this week is Vacation Bible School, Camp E.D.G.E!!!!  I have been the registration leader, and have been working with this wonderful group since the beginning of the year.  It has been a long couple of months, and about 400 registration forms later we have our wonderful group of kids this week for Camp E.D.G.E!!  My heart melts every morning when I see those smiling faces ready for another day!!!  God is Great!!!  Here is a photo of the morning assembly!
This is a video of one of the songs they learned on Tuesday!  I am just overwhelmed at how these kids just love learning about God!!!  You will have to pause the music on the right side to hear the video!

We started Elizabeth's swim lessons this week.  We go every morning for 2 weeks, and her friend Samantha is in the class with her :)  Here are some pictures of us at the swim lessons.

After swim lessons on Tuesday we went to the base pool to celebrate Noah's 5th birthday, one of Elizabeth's good friends here in Charleston.  I love it there because there is a really neat kid pool with a slide that they can all do by themselves :)

Birthday Present

I just had to show off this beautiful painting that Nathan got me for my birthday.  When he was in Italy a few weeks ago he picked out this gorgeous painting of one of my favorite spots in Italy, the Spanish Steps!!  It fit beautifully over the mantel :)  Then we went out to eat at this place called Poogan's Porch in downtown Charleston.  The restaurant used to be a very old house, and then became a restaurant in 1976...it is named after a dog that used to stay on the porch :)  I would definitely recommend this place!!!

Summertime!

We have been having so much fun here in Charleston this summer.  We have season passes to the water parks here in the area, Elizabeth starts swim lessons next week, we often play at Rolly Pollies when they have open gym, and of course play in the pool and in the backyard.  It has been typical Charleston weather...humid and scattered showers every now and then during the week, but it sure stays HOT.  Here are some pictures of Elizabeth playing with her friend Samantha.
