Mama's glasses

Awwwww, sweet Betti-always takin my glasses off like a little ninja, and puttin them on . . . and they are always upside down too!! We sure love you cutie patoot!!

Breakfast.

Breakfast. Well for starters we love Eggos around here, especially daddy who likes it with tons of BUTTER, and I mean an obscene amount of butter with some syrup, and not to mention he likes 2 Eggos stacked on top of each other with and egg (over easy) sandwiched in between. . .not my cup o tea, but he loves it and I love him so I will continue makin it for him that way. The kids and I like it with butter and syrup or I like to add raspberry jam to it too.  Chocolate Chip Pancakes are another big hit around here. . .i think I am the only one that would or could eat them without chocolate chips if needs be. . .LOL and we love the Krusteaz Brand pancake mix from Costco-huge bag, lasts forever, and all you do is add Water, oh and of course chocolate chips-Milk chocolate chips to get technical. Speaking of chocolate chips, those are also required in my Sour cream banana muffins or banana bread, and because thats not enough chocolate my hubby (and Liz has jumped on that bandwagon)) also melt chocolate chips and spread that on top. ☺ you name it! Cinnamon rolls?, yep you bet we are addin chocolate chips to those too. We love little smokies, Jimmy Dean sausages, HIllshire Farm beef sausage, scrambled eggs with cheese-( i love adding garlic, spinach and tomatoes) with rice, hashbrowns, or my favorite house potatoes. I think thats what they are called-they are cubed with the skin on and usually baked. Our favorite cereals are Oh's, Waffle Crisp, Krave, Quaker Oatmeal granola with raisins, Peanut Butter Crunch (especially when I am Pregnant), frosted mini wheats etc. . .our favorite and pretty much only Poptart we like is brown sugar cinnamon-try this!! Microwave for 10-15 seconds, and spread on butter like how you would butter toast-oh my goodness, please try it, amazing!! occasionally we will buy the strawberry ones too, but we can all agree on Strawberry Cream Cheese Toaster Streudals found in the freezer section-the other BEST part about them is that you can write your name on them with the frosting packet or shapes like this heart! mmmmmmmm!

Let the races Begin!!!

Triple Racer Slip~n~Slide!!! Oh yeah! We had the cousins sleepover-the boys all slept on the tramp, and the girls in Liz and Ella's room. We stayed up and watched Princess Bride.

Betti loved it!!

tubin

sweet betti
"hot tub" time in the bath tub

SO this is what it would be like if I had 9 children!?!?!? wowowowow! We loved having everyone over!! can't wait til next time!!

Memorial Day

We started out playing this game in the sand where, when they said ready, set, GO! you ran to grab a cut up piece of hose that had been placed in the sand. It's kind of like musical chairs-if you don't get a stick or hose piece, you are out and must wait on the sidelines-daddy did pretty good!! made it to 3rd place. And ya can't have a beach picnic without watermelon, good food and friends!! Still never found out who made those scrumptious cinnamon rolls. The only junk part was the sandstorms-Ouch!! Thanks go out to all our wonderful soldiers who have sacrificed their time and lives for our freedom, and our hearts go out to their families as well!!

Grillin in the Summertime

Lahaina~

Another great thing about living in HAWAII! Shave ICE!! We tried a new shave ice place called Surfing Monkey on Front Street-watch out Local Boyz, there might be some competition in the house.
We also love to eat at this lovely outdoor restaurant called Kimo's right along the beach where we keep coming back for their Teriyaki Chicken Skewers, Mac salad, and Hula pie-which I do not have a picture of, and we didnt happen to get it this time bc we got shave ice instead, but it is a HUGE slice icecream pie with an oreo cookie crust, fudge, nuts and whipcream.
Oh and I almost forgot to explain Betti's "look" in the top right pic. We call it the "FACE" and it cracks us up everytime, I think I posted about it earlier. SHe started doin it a few months ago when we would feed her in her highchair-it was kind of a game we would play, and now we ask her to do it and she does it. Her eyes look so funny! The best part is her big smile right after-what a little jokester!!

BEACH

might just be one of my favorite pix of Betti . . .
                                                                      or maybe this one!

"DRAW SOMETHING"

One of our favorite new games to play on the Ipad and on our phones: "DRAW SOMETHING" it's like Pictionary for the phone. . .these cool "drawings" are by my brother Lance.

Sticker Time

Miss Betti boops-you are so cute! who knew this would keep you entertained for more than half an hour??!!

The first of many . . .

sleepovers with cousins that is!! We ♥ SUMMER around here! . . . even on the rainy days. It makes jumping on the tramp SO fun!
Ethan and his cousin Dylan bought these Soccer Boppers to play with-too bad they didn't last more than a week. LOLL-Love it that David shows no mercy ☺

We thought it would be fun to ride our Electric scooters and gokart to the community pool-it was a little less than a mile away-Ethan pushed betti in the stroller(we were one ride short) most of the way bc he wanted to get a workout, since there was no soccer this particular day-so funny and sweet. Ended the night makin a fort /tent with every sheet we had in the house and watched Open Season 3 on the Ipad.

mmmmm. . .Garlic. Cheese. Bread

One of my favorites-adapted it from my old Young Women Leader Aunty Linda~thankyou thankyou thankyou~First you start off with French bread or Italian Bread (which I prefer). Set your oven to 375-400 degrees. In a bowl mix your favorite cheeses (we used cheddar and mozzarella) with enough mayonnaise to your liking, chopped green onions and parmesan cheese. Butter each slice of bread and sprinkle with garlic salt. Spread on cheese mixture and bake for 5-15 minutes depending on how crispy or soft you want it-you also may want to broil it for about 30-45 seconds if you want more of  crust. Enjoy!!

Potato Gun!

We went up to Aunty Jessica and Uncle Chris's house for a BBQ and Uncle Chris had made a Potato gun, and of course that means Daddy had to have a go at it! Love the "stance" honey!
"Hey Ethan, come push this button!" ha ha haha haha ha! We weren't expecting it to be so loud-that was pretty awesome!. . .David was so inspired, that being called as the new Young Men's President at church, this ended up being their first activity. Bought all the supplies at Lowes and Home Depot enough to make 2 guns. The young men got most of them built, but still need one more mutual night to finish them up.

Ethan trying out Jesse and Aidens Airsoft Gun-boys will be boys ☺

Last day of school Tradition-MAMA's FISH HOUSE for DESSERT

This was our 3rd year going TO Mama's Fish House which is in a little town called Kuau, not Paia, which we always thought)and we finally remembered to bring our swimsuits and reef shoes (it's on a public beach). It was windy, but sunny and beautiful. The kids didn't want to leave. And yes just dessert is perfect! They each get to pick out their own for doing a great job at another year of school. Its a treat bc if we ever do get dessert somewhere we buy 1 thing to split! Ha ha! Not to mention how good dessert is here!! Ethan got their famous polynesian black pearl, (one of the prettiest desserts I've seen-it's a lilikoi chocolate mousse in a cookie shell) Liz n david love chocolate so they got the Kuau pie, (choc pie in a delicious caramel cookie crust), Ella loves their vanilla ice cream and I got their lilikoi Creme brûlée with fresh fruit. We also love their complimentary haupia square they give right when u get there and a hot towel to clean off with at the end. We r definitely gonna keep this tradition going!!
Betti Boops reaching for her Haupia Square, and see . . . hot towels!!

Teacher Treats

Last day of school teacher treats-went for simple this year. . .bought some chocolate apples from See's and printed off some tags. So long 1st, 4th and 6th grade!! What a great year!!
