Today I am thankful.

Thankful for a Savior whose blessings, love, and grace allow me to do what I do every day.
Thankful for an extremely supportive family.
Thankful for a loving, supportive husband.
Thankful for a new job doing just what I want to do in just a few short weeks.
Thankful for life.
Thankful for breath.
Thankful for health.
Thankful for a voice.
Thankful for every day.

We were graced with the presence of some residents from Breckenridge village today as guest lecturers. Wow. They have shown me what it means to be thankful for being able to hear, speak, walk, talk, be healthy both mentally and physically, and not take advantage of each day we are given.
What a wonderful organization. Every community in the world deserves a place like this.

1 in 10 people have a developmental disability. 1 in 10. Wow. 10,800 out of the 108,000 people in this city have a developmental disability. That's humbling. So many people view this negatively yet it is one of the most common disabilities or problems that we see on a day to day basis. Everywhere. Every community in the world deserves a place like Breckenridge Village.

So today, I am thankful.

We have been married 6 months! I don't know where the time has gone! I graduate from nursing school in just 3 weeks and will be working on labor and delivery! :-D

The last 6 months have been the best 6 months of my life! It's been a whirlwind of life and fun and disagreements and excitement... life.

It's been so long since I've posted anything, but I figured this would be the week to do it! First of all school is over for the semester!!!! I made 3 B's, but I will take them!!! Only one more semester and I will be finished with nursing school!!!!! Secondly, I was one of Katie's bridesmaids yesterday in her very beautiful wedding! We had a blast and she was BEAUtiful!!!!! So they are off to a cruise in the bahamas and I can't wait to see her when they get back! Mainly because it will be Michael and I's wedding they're coming back to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D :-D :-D It's FINALLY here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In 6 days I will officially be a Lawson!!!!! Everything's coming together and I'm so glad we don't have to mess with the rain like we had to this weekend (although we got some cute pics before the wedding with our matching umbrellas---wedding had to be moved indoors though). So the countdown is on! I will definitely post a few pictures after we get back and settled!!!!! :-D But for now, here are some shower/bachelorette party pictures!!!!

Christmas break consisted of a trip to Tennessee with Michael to spend Christmas with his family... first Christmas I was not at home. We had a great time though! He even took me to North Carolina one day to drive through the mountains! We got some amazing pictures!! I'll share a few. We've also took our engagement pictures. Katyclicks.blogspot.com to see just some of her work! :-P Wedding planning is coming along... i'm ready. 61 days! :-D Michael's mom came down for a few weeks to help redo the master bedroom.... it now looks amazing!!! :-D Love her to death.
