Girl Time
I needed to get my nails re-done and since I don't get to spend nearly enough time with my sweet little bug I took her with me. I told her that if she was good the entire time I was getting my nails done she could get her nails painted too. She was perfect. She picked out a pretty pink and sat there patiently while I got my manicure. Then it was her turn and she was so excited. I'm not gonna lie I love that my sweet princess was so excited to be pampered and even more excited that she loved spending time with me. I hope there are many more mom and daughter dates to the mall for mani/pedis.

Dad's & Doughnuts
Last week when I was in Orlando for work Sophie had mom's & muffins at pre-school. I was so sad that I had to miss it. Todd was going to go in my place but instead Christine went. Then this week it was dad's & doughnuts at her school and Todd was gone so Timmy took her. She was very excited to take Timmy to school with her and he's second best to having dad there. I am so grateful that my kids have so much family around who love them so much.

Happy Chinese New Year
In school the kids learned about Chinese New Year and Claire was very excited to eat with chopsticks so the 5 of us headed to PF Changs (I know it's "real" Chinese food...but it was yummy). The boys split orange chicken and kept having contests to see who could last the longest without drinking water (since it was spicy). Claire only ordered rice so eating with chop sticks wasn't easy but it sure was funny.

While I was working
I had to work in Orlando and while I was working I got this picture sent to my phone. I can't tell you how sad it made me to be missing such an adventure. Todd took all 4 kids (Tayson is in the background sitting next to his friend Jaxon) to the UVU basketball game. The kids got free tickets at school and they thought it would be a fun family outing.

Grandma Giboney's Obituary
Jean A. Giboney (02/09/1914 - 12/11/2011)
GIBONEY, Jean A.
Just two months shy of her 98th birthday, Jean Prindle Giboney graduated from this life on December 11, 2011. She was born February 9, 1914, in Beatrice, Nebraska, the oldest daughter of Arthur and Gertrude Prindle. She moved to the Spokane Valley where she lived for 87 years. On May 31, 1936, she married her one and only love, Daniel W. Giboney, whom she met at Veradale Grade School. They were married for 60 years living in their home on Walnut Road while raising four children. Jean, a gifted athlete, hiked all over the world, played golf well into her eighties, learned to ski when she was forty, swam and taught others to swim, and rode her bicycle. She attended WSU, formerly WSC, and was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She was a charter member of Chapter DR PEO. Using her drama skills, she entertained children as the Unity Story Lady and often presented programs for civic groups. She supported schools, enjoyed garden club, and got pleasure from the hiking club, Hobnailers. Jean was a wonderful cook and baker. Her chocolate chip cookies, chocolate cake, and sticky cinnamon rolls were eagerly devoured by family and friends. Daniel and Jean traveled extensively together. Her greatest joy was being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Jean leaves children Carol Giboney, Susan Schultz, and Daniel W. Giboney, Jr. Her third daughter, Danna, is deceased. She has 16 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Her family will celebrate Jean's life on Sunday, January 15, 2012, at 1:00 PM at HAZEN AND JAEGER VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 1306 North Pines Road, Spokane Valley. Those who remember and wish to honor her are welcome.
Fairmont Hot Springs
After Grandma's memorial service we split the drive into 2 days and spent a day at Fairmont Hot Springs just outside of Butte, MT. I love the place. It is in the middle of nowhere and so much fun. There are pools inside and outside year round. The kids were scared to death to go out in the cold in the swim suits the first time so we had to carry them and throw them in the water. But once they got used to the concept they loved it. The water is super hot and your hair freezes.

The kids had a blast showing how tough they were by running into the snow and doing snow angels, making snow balls, rolling around, etc. It was hilarious. Of course since there were so many of us and we were creating such a scene lots of other people joined in on the fun.
We couldn't be out done by the boys so we did a not quite as cute pose.
When Steve was jumping back in the pool after the pyramid he tried jumping over the kids in the shallow end and managed to hit the bottom. I'm sorry but it was very funny. He got super glued up and was good to go. Leave it to Steve to do something crazy.
Here we are in the indoor pool.
The first time I went to the hot springs was with Grandma Giboney and it was so much fun. I love taking my kids here for a fun time. Todd had to fly from Spokane to DC so he wasn't with us but sometime we'll go back there with him because he would love it there!
