We got some sweet Boston Strong shirts and all ended up wearing them on the same day. Love these girls and the memories we made in Boston!

West Side Story
While mom's away... .
I got to spend the day manning this booth at the Women's Expo.
When I got home Todd showed the me the project he worked on....what in the world? How is that something that should be in a bedroom? Luckily we all agreed it was a bit big and it ended up downstairs in the play room.

Mom's Facebook
This may be the best facebook thread ever. I love everything about this. I went on facebook and found this very detailed message posted by my mama. So I texted her and said "mom you left me off your post" she was sure she didn't until she went and looked again. So I got my very own post. It was so awesome!

Boston - Going Home
So sad....time to go home. We got up early and headed over to the airport. Because our festivities were cut short from the bombs I did my kid present shopping at the airport.
When we landed I realized that I didn't have the key to the Durango. My bag had broken on the way out so I bought a new bag and I didn't remember packing it into my new bag. I was 90% sure that I threw it away with the bag I left in the hotel room. I still completely unpacked my bags, went out to the car, over to lost and found and we called the hotel a few times. But in the end (after an hour of looking) we decided to take the Frontrunner home. It might have been fun if we had planned it. But in the end it just added hours to our trip and was annoying to me. I never lose anything....but this time I did I lost the key to the car. UGH!
After I got home Timmy drove with me up to the airport to pick up the car and finally at 8:30 pm I made it home.
These guys were pretty excited for their Boston gear. Especially Sophie with her "my mom's faster than your dad ... in your face" shirt. She kept saying "in your face" and loves her running shirt. I had an amazing trip but it sure was nice to be home with these kids and sleep in my own bed again.
I wore my Boston jacket with pride.

Boston - after the race
There wasn't much to do after the race and lots of things were shut down. The subways weren't running so we walked to dinner in the North end. It was about 1.5 miles each way which actually helped my legs not be sore the next day. We really wanted to go get authentic Italian food with Danny and it was DELICIOUS! Everything was very empty and somber. After dinner we went back to the room and watched the news for hours while we chatted and packed up.

Boston - Day 3
After a quick breakfast we headed out to our Duck Tour. Sherry and Danny both came on this with us. It took us a little longer than expected to get there because of the Boston 5K and all the road closures so we missed our tour. Luckily they were able to squeeze us in on the next one. But we were very spread out and poor Laurie had to sit alone.
After the tour we got tickets to the Red Sox game. It was soooo much fun! I guess when we mom's get free of responsibility we must laugh a lot because everyone got a kick out of the Utah girls laughing, singing and non-stop smiling at the game. The security guards even moved us to the very front row and gave us a cup of dirt off the field at the end of the game. I'm pretty sure eating a Fenway Frank wasn't the best pre-race food but it had to be done. You only live once!
On the subway after the game. It was a little squished.
That night after dinner with Danny, Sherry, Jen and my mom I headed back to the room to get a good night sleep and the girls went out to the movies.
