Eight is Great! 8)

I remember the day I had my Bree. Crying because as I went to the hospital I thought that I couldn't love another child as much as I love Malulani. It was a little too late to back out. When I had her it was instant (maybe it was all the drugs they give you -just kidding)! She was so different but I loved her so much. Their personalities are so different. She kind of scares me!

For her birthday she wanted to go sledding which didn't ever happen but we have a few weeks to make up for that! Most importantly she wanted to go to the mall and get her ears pierced.

So off to the mall we went.....

(If you haven't taken you kids to Macy's - you should they have a place where you can write a letter to Santa and an adorable mailbox to send it!)

I just got to say girls are so much fun to dress. This is the only shot I got from head to toe of her birthday outfit. And I {heart} her shoes! I know you can't see too well but they are patent leather with a zipper exposing the same fabric from her tie and headband. And needless to say "skinny jeans" don't look like "skinny jeans" on my Bree!

Here is my birthday girl before she has holes in her ears and......
here she is w/ holes!
She was so excited to get this makeup case-I am in trouble. Luckily it mainly lip gloss!
Because my mom just got back from Hawaii she was able to get Aubree some neat gifts. One of which I wanna steal! A coconut purse-A D O R A B L E
And because she is getting baptized she get scriptures- I am so glad she was stoked about them!
Her is her yummy ice cream cake and her traveling bear that is a school assignment.
My parents also got her a white muu muu for her special day that is coming up and for all of you that are wondering we are having her baptism on the 2nd and her luau a few weeks later (Dave and I need more time) Happy Birthday Aubree and thanks mom & dad for letting us have it at your house and for putting holes in my daughters ears!

I haven't fallin off the face of the earth

Though it feels like it. So much to do and so little time to do it. I have been working so much. Normally I work 16 hrs a mth and lately I have been working 34 hrs a week. It has exhausted both my family and I! Needless to say I am looking forward to going back to normal (whatever normal is) Here are a few thing we have been up to.....
Temple Square-man whoever has the job of lighting all of these floating candles has their work cut out for them every night!
Aubree thought that this would be cool...and it is! About the closest we have been to life size!!!

The last couple of years we have been too busy to go to Temple Square and see the lights and I am so glad we made time. Maile just oohed and ahhed!
For those that don't know Aubree's birthday is Dec 21 and Maile's birthday is Dec 29th! Why am I tell you this-well up until now I have been so crazy about keeping the girls birthday separate from Christmas. From NOT wrapping their gifts in Christmas wrapping, to NOT combining their gifts, to NOT decorating until after Aubree's birthday and I would take the tree down before Maile's birthday! That included having the Christmas tree up for 6 days. Crazy I know! Well Aubree is old enough I asked her if she even cared and she loves it up. So I actually was normal and we decorated the tree early in Dec. Baby steps right?!?
It seems like we have are constantly changing the theme of out tree but for the last 2 years we have kept it Cowboy themed. The best part is instead of stockings we place one cowboy boot out.
And every year my uncle dresses as Santa and visits all the grandkids at my parents house. Even tho every kid know that this is NOT the real Santa they still have to believe!
The best part-Maile didn't even mind him! Not a tear :)

So other than Aubree's birthday post I won't be posting anything before Christmas so

Mele Kalikimaka and a Hauoli Makahiki Hou!
