Life with an almost one year old...

We are back from Seattle and it was wonderful! Jack was well taken care of and we only called twice a day to make sure they didn't have any questions. We relaxed, did a half day at the spa, ate the most yummy food, shopped, and saw the city. Our hotel sat right on top of the largest Whole Foods in the country and we pretty much ate breakfast there every morning and it was WONDERFUL...the most fresh ingredients ever. There is something about getting a lot of rain that makes the produce taste so great. Needless to say, everywhere we went, the food was amazing. It actually never rained while we were there which is strange for Seattle. It was sunny and 62 pretty much the entire time! We were ready to come home and see our little snack pack! Apparently while we were gone he would walk into our room and say "dada" and "jerica"...yes that's right...he will not say mama but he will say a 3 syllable word "Jerica"!!! Weird huh? We'll have to work on that because I'm not into my son calling me by my first name. Erik and I enjoyed just hanging out with each other for a few days and we both came home so refreshed! Jack is doing so many new things so I'll do another post soon. He turns ONE on Thursday and I am in disbelief....the year went by SOOO fast.
Enjoy some pictures from the last few weeks!

The kiddos at the Arboretum, it was "Momma Bears" day so we dressed them in their green and gold!

SleepING in Seattle

Erik and I are headed to Seattle for the weekend without Jack! This is the first time we've left him overnight so we're a little nervous but we are sure he'll be in good hands! My grandmother (yes, Jack's greatgrandmother), my brother Jeremy, and Erik's sister Krystal will all be tag teaming to take care of the wild man. I think they can handle it! Say a little prayer for them if you think about it:)

Our hotel is just 4 blocks away from the shopping district, pike street, and fun restaraunts on Lake Union. We've been looking forward to this mini-vaca for a long time! See ya Monday!

Jack's Fall Activities

Now that fall is in full swing, here is what a typical week looks like for us.
Monday- playgroup
Tuesday-MDO from 9-2
Wednesday- Moms Bible Study in the morning and Jack plays with friends in the nursery
Thursday- lunch with Dad
Friday- Jack and I talk football strategy and make our picks for the weekend!
Saturday- College Football pretty much all day with trips to our neighborhood park during halftime
Sunday- church then we grab our popcorn and watch the Romo/T.O. show
Jack had his first day of CLC (MDO one day a week at our church)...the backpack was almost too heavy for him to walk with it but he managed long enough for me to take a picture!
Jack loved playing at Jackson and Kate's house but I doubt Tony Romo actually does his own grocery shopping...especially carrying a giant stuffed monkey!
The Cowboys keep winnin'...Jack keeps smilin'!!!
New fascination with our bathroom (by the way Erik and I noticed that this pictures looks identical to my baby pictures...maybe he really is my blonde haired son!!!)
Jack and Mackenzie had a lunch date over some Lunchables Jr. He followed up a few days later by meeting her for dinner at CPK and sharing some Mac n Cheese.
Jack really wanted to go help dad fix his swing.
Typical Jack. After he tore off the table topper he decided eating was more fun with his foot on top of the table...the joys of boys...
Erik and Jeremy having fun with the human water torpedo. Good thing Jack loves water.
