Both of my boys were born in October....

Jack born on the 2nd and Erik born on the 29th...October is a fun month of celebrating in our family! Jack tackled the birthday boy! He's really into tackling/wrestling these days.

Happy Birthday to Erik (well, yesterday)!!!! We had Jack's favorite babysitter come over last night so Erik and I could go out to dinner and celebrate. He chose to go to Kotta Sushi Lounge which sounds like a bad idea considering the baby in my tummy but on the contraire...it was a great idea! Obviously no sashimi for me but it wasn't hard to find rolls that are either steamed or fully cooked in some way and the extra Omega 3's are always good:) Kotta is by far the BEST sushi we've had.

We will continue to celebrate through the weekend as we have our church's Fall Festival tomorrow and Jack is the firefighter on duty...after that we will head down to Waco just in time for our little firefighter to help manage the bonfire at Baylor Homecoming. Saturday we'll try and do the Chi Omega breakfast, parade, and at least part of the game until it gets unBEARable:) We will tivo the UT/Tech game and try and get home by the early evening to cheer on Mack Brown and the #1 Horns!!!!!

Busy weekend for the Olson's. Hope yall have a good one!

Jack is the BIG BROTHER!!!

Since we had both sides of our family in town for Jack's birthday weekend we decided to let our families know that we are expecting baby #2 while they were all here to celebrate with us! Baby #2 is due in late April which makes me 13 weeks right now. We had our 12 week perinatology screen this past week and we took a good long look at our growing baby and everything measured healthy and normal. Dr. A thought it looked like another boy but we'll confirm in a few more weeks as our regular OB was quick to remind us of our experience with thinking Jack was a girl for 4 weeks! So far I've been feeling great with the exception of 1 experience with nausea. I wanted to include a few pics of our little man during the Texas/OU weekend and it's clear where our loyalties lie on Saturdays!!!!! HOOK EM HORNS!!!

TOUCHDOWN TEXAS!!!! He would get so excited when the Horns scored:)
Jack and Mackenzie....I could handle two kids right??? :)
Jack riding his 4 wheeler during halftime
After the game, we took Jack to Dr. Pepper Ballpark for their 1st Annual Frisco Roughrider Pumpkin Patch. Erik was excited for free Brats and Dr. Pepper products! Of course we still had to support the horns and make sure any remaining OU fans were reminded of the score:)

First Haircut

Jack's hair was getting a little unruly and his hair is not one bit curly so as it got longer it looked pretty unkept. We decided to take him to a this fun little place for kids to get his hair cut and he did much better than we thought he'd do. Here are some pictures of the event!

testing out the car before the haircut
doing pretty well...
a little mohawk action
All done and riding in the hummer!

Jack is one!

After lots of family in town and many birthday festivities the weekend is finally coming to a close! Jack definitely knew something was special and since we've been back from Seattle he's a different kid. Waving, clapping, talking in jibberish sentences, repeating EVERYTHING, and even running. Wow...it's like he turned one and now he's officially a toddler and not an infant. People ask us if we are surprised he's already one and honestly he was one month going on one...he never wanted to be an infant...so it's not too surprising. Anyway, we still some family staying with us so I don't have much time to give a lot of details but here are some pictures of Jack's long birthday weekend. He turned ONE on Thursday, October 2nd.
The cake...Jack wan't very interested in it...he hardly touched his smash cake
